Smile Wiz's late recommends

Won easily on the "Cuse" recommend, here are the rest:

USC vs Michigan St

The Spartans are one of the favorites to have a chance to win the Midwest bracket, but USC will have the chance to bust everyone’s brackets if somehow they have not been already.

If the Spartans are to manage a victory over the Trojans like they are expected, Michigan State will still have to deal possibly Kansas in the next round of the sweet sixteen.
Michigan State should be the better rebounding team heading into the contest averaging right at 40 rebounds per game which ranks them inside the top 30 in America this season. However, USC has shot better than the Spartans as a team on average this season not to mention they have been shooting the ball even better over the last couple of games. Over the last 6 games, the Trojans have knocked down an amazing 52% as a team from the floor and has yet to show any signs of slowing down. This game has the making to be a grudge match that could go right down to the wire.

Don’t expect the Trojans to be worn out either, since two games in three days is the norm in the Pac-10 and they are 24-11 ATS in this set up.

Michigan State is four-point favorite and is 7-1 ATS away from East Lansing versus teams shooting 45 percent or better, with defense holding opponents to 42 percent or less. Don’t sell USC short, since they are 26-12 ATS as an underdog. No. 10 seeds are 9-5 ATS in second round since 2000.

Dayton vs Kansas

(Basketball Trend ) The Kansas Jayhawks are 10-0 ATS versus good defensive teams allowing 42 percent or less shooting percentage after 15 or more games this season.
Kansas is a 7.5-point favorite and is one of a trio of three-seeds playing today and this group is 10-2 and 8-4 ATS this round since 2006.

Dayton's luck has run out. They matched up perfectly with West Virginia because they can just outshoot them which they did. No chance of that happening today because of the presence of the big man, Aldrich, for Kansas. Dayton has nobody that can compete with Aldrich down low which is going to be a big problem. They would have to play a perfect game to upset Kansas which I don't think is possible. KU is the right side today.

recommend:Kansas-3.5 with USC+8 (tease)

Wisky vs Xavier

The Badgers used defense and hot shooting to get past Florida State. Don't expect those trends to continue today. The Musketeers are 6-0 ATS their last six against the Big Ten and are 18-7 ATS in their last 25 neutral site games as a favorite. They are led by BJ Raymond who averages over 14 a game and had 13 in the win over Portland St. Four players were in double figures in that blowout win.
Wisconsin is 1-4 ATS following a SU win. Xavier is 10-2 ATS in NCAA Tournament games.
Xavier has a superb deep game, tossing in 40 percent from beyond the arc and they are 6-0 ATS against Big Ten teams.
