Connecticut vs. Purdue: (PLAY OF THE DAY)

2 great definsive players face off in this battle,Connecticut’s Hasheem Thabeet & Purdue’s JaJuan Johnson Connecticut is going to make another good team look bad.

The Huskies are averaging 78.5 points per game on 47 percent shooting from the floor. The Boilermakers are averaging 69.3 points per outing on 44 percent shooting from field goal range.
Rebounding may be the difference in this matchup as the Huskies are pulling down nearly 40 boards a game, 27 on defense and 13 on offense. The Boilermakers grab 30 boards a game, 22 on defense and 8 on offense.Connecticut is 8-2 in their last 10 games while Purdue is 5-5 in their last ten attempts. The Boilermakers are 5-0 SU in their last 5 games. The Huskies are 18-3 SU in their last 21 games.

recommend:U CONN-6.5

Villanova Wildcats (28-7) vs. Duke Blue Devils (30-6)

Duke has been playing well after capturing the ACC Tournament Championship. The Wildcats and the Blue Devils will square off in what is predicted to be a very physical and hard fought meeting between the ACC and Big East conferences.

Duke has played well on both sides of the ball this season, averaging 78 points per game which is among the top 25 scoring offenses in the country. The Blue Devils are a smaller sized team, but they are very disciplined. Duke does not turn the ball over much and they play sound defense meaning it will take a very solid effort for anybody to be able to bring them down.
Villanova had a surprisingly strong season in the tough schedule of the Big East. The Wildcats as a team are very similar to the Blue Devils. Villanova has posted 77 points per game this season while holding opponents to 67 points per game on the defensive side of the ball. However, there are some things Villanova does well that could present some problems for Duke. The Wildcats drive to the basket, set screens, and roll to the ball well. Betting Trends…
Villanova has won 5 of their last 6 games heading into the contest. Duke is only 5-9 ATS in their last 14 games. The interesting aspect of this game to watch will be how the Villanova guards match-up with the Duke guards.

recommend:Duke-2

Memphis vs. Missouri

Memphis was the third most bet on team of this year's NCAA Tournament heading into the Sweet 16 play.
Memphis is averaging 74.7 points per game on 44.8 percent shooting from the field. The Tigers allow just 57.6 points per contest to their opponents.Memphis is the real deal; I think they are the best No. 2 seed that this tournament has seen in quite sometime.
Missouri is putting up 81.1 points per game on 47 percent shooting. Mizzou gives up 66.6 ppg to the opposition
Memphis is just too talented and I believe in the better team despite what shows up on stat sheets.

recommend:Memphis-4

Harry: I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

Lloyd: I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of shit, man.
