Worst final game ever

I have been watching the NCAA finals for 40 years and this is the single worst game I can remember -- talk all you want about great defense, these teams are missing wide open shots and easy put-backs...it makes you wonder if these teams really belong here...
I love this tournament as much as anyone but I get the feeling the best teams aren't playing in the biggest game of the year...
Full disclosure -- no bet on the total and a bet on Butler...
This is just bad basketball...pure and simple

Knowing neither of these team were very good I wasn't expecting much more myself. Not sure how you can say it is a terrible game though... Its great all around basketball, and a tight game that will come down to the final minutes.

that was just brutal. found myself flipping around all over the place. there was nothing interesting or compelling at all about that game.

as an OSU fan it really makes you wonder how they didn't get there when you watch that crap (sure fans of other teams are feeling the same way).

bottom line, the more kids declaring early for the draft means more games like that in the future.

i would agree, i can watch a good defensive battle. i enjoy those games, but this was ALL about butler's shooting woes. there was about two layups missed and 2 free throws missed that created that double digit UConn lead. plus alot of decent look 3's were missed.

IF 1 of the 2 FT's goes in, 1 Layup of the 2, 1 3 pointer of the 4-5 missed in that UConn run, game would have been really interesting.

i know i am talking abotu what if's but those are free throws, layups and 20% 3 point shooting, i was asking for.

that is still below par, but butler just had one of those days, what can you do??

it should have been a 30 point victory for Uconn on most nights, the way butler shot. you don't stay close in those games. but butler played well defensively on top of Uconn's shooting woes.

It just wasnt exciting basketball. Both teams, especially butler, shot terribly. But the defense was good, if not great, on both sides. I remember 1 transition bucket, the dunk my lamb. Otherwise both teams did great getting back on defense, which always makes the game less exciting to watch. But low turnovers, not a ton of fouls or sloppy play. Shots just weren't falling
