Wow, if Painter leaves it's the fans' fault??....must read

First off, as an alumnus of Purdue, this pisses me off. I am not an active John Purdue Club member yet but my parents are and received this email this morning. After reading this, I will reconsider my JPC application. Check this out....the letter is pretty colorful if you read into it. Needless to say, my parents laughed at the notion and simply said if Purdue is that upset, they'll donate $0 next year.

Nancy Cross Letter to John Purdue Club - If Matt Painter Leaves, it's Purdue Fans Fault

Here is my beef, and I know it has two sides.......

What about the Purdue alums that are donating what they can afford to donate? Not everyone who graduates from Purdue, or any school, is a wealthy business person. This is like saying, why are we doing all the work when you could be giving us your hard earned money?.....Then again, I'm sure there are some millionaires out there that aren't doing anything. It's not an obligation to donate, so don't step on your fan base and boosters crying foul, you'll just piss them off. Bad PR move IMO....

generally, if you have a good coach... change is bad...

even if he hasn't won the big one...

Lmao are these the same jimmy purdue club members being called out who sold their black and gold club seats between the 30's to buckeye fans for the big night game a couple years ago and let buckeye nation take over their stadium? I think the students support that school greatly but I have never been impressed or seen the same fervor from their big time alumni base. I honestly still can't believe all the donors that sold out for that game to make a buck.

Anyone that has ever been to West Lafayette knows that he doesn't care what he is leaving for, only that he is leaving that sh*thole of a town. Purdue had a good run but its over. Its time to move on. Even Cuonzo didn't want the Purdue job. When ex-players are leaving the program, its time to think about ending the program altogether.

Funny how Cuonzo actually has an "out" clause in his contract to come back to Purdue given the right circumstance. Cuonzo took the Tennessee job well before Purdue's position was in question. Clueless dude....
