13-1 NFL run. This weeks thread

Had a nice run this season. 13-1 posted here. I checked my season on the site I use and i had 12 win weeks, 4 losing weeks including 31-10 in the NFL.

A couple of things worked in my favor this seaon.
1. I didnt bet over my head and was comfortable losing the amount risked.. THIS IS HUGE! Scared money really is dead money so off a Loss I was totally comfortable coming right back and doing what I do.. I had confidence, ready to kick the door in with smart plays that made sense.
2. I barely payed attention to any coverage of football. I mean I checked highlights and injuries but never did I give a shit about all the idiots who are payed to give you their opinion on TV.. and theres a lot of them. I tuned out and checked lines eary and late in the week and went with what I liked.
I read, meditate and watch the office for amusement.
3. Never overthought a play
4. Rarely checked service plays. I spot play a guy here or there I feel has a good play in nice spot but for the most part my plays were my opinions.
5. You may find this insulting or odd, but I model the way I conduct my betting like the Patriots conduct their football team... If you dont get that then your prob a Panthers or Seahawks fan
6. Did I mention I meditate..

All that said..
I get this week could be a total shitshow so dont jump on as a leap of faith.. anything can happen!

Ive been doing this for years and have seen someone have a nice season and then has a bad week and someone is pissed cause they followed and have no idea of bankroll management or being disciplined.
in the end, follow your heart ..

Great job!! You did buy a lot of points and risk more vig than most would be comfortable with (I see mostly -140 and -150), so I would have made that number 1 in your 'things that worked in your favor'. Good job though, not trying to diminish your success. Maybe it is a good idea to lay heavy vig. Just seems like a couple losses and an impressive W/L record doesn't pay a whole lot.

true. the last few weeks of the season is when i manipulate a line a bit.

I think this has only really come into play once or twice since i posted here.. other than that I didnt need to buy the points.
I think of it like an MLB moneyline and then I get a certain feel for how a team is likely to win in the situation they are in. I like favorites and can remember only playing the Packers +7 against the Jets way back.. i hate underdogs.. but i've been good at choosing the right favorites i guess.

I hate the -4 lines on the road, hence buying the point in the Giants game..

As stated, I am up so a loss wont kill the bankroll.

Texans -3 -120 300/250 i think jax knows colts will win and and get hit in the mouth by houston while mulling that over.. Texans still looking to build to be a contender and made a little progress this year..I expect an effort here to spoil the already slim Jax hopes.
