2,000 Reward Points to the poster who can...

...correctly predict the final score between the Giants and Saints on Monday Night Football.

Provisos:

Only one prediction per poster.

Deadline is 8pm EST.

You must include some brief legitimate analysis supporting your pick and final score. If I "like" your write up, you're in!

If there are posters who happen to pick the same correct score, they will share in the 2,000 pts with the earlier picker(s) getting a greater share.

Leave the trash talking outside of this thread, please.

Saints 27

Giants 17

Going with the better QB. Eli Manning cost his team with an interception late in the game. Its all about the QB position.

Would've preferred a bit more substantive reasoning, but I'll take it. Even though you're not a fan of border collies.

30-27 GIANTS OT

Why???

IMOP: This line is inflated because of what the Giants did "last" week at home vs Philly. Giants killed Joe public last week. How could the sinking ship Eagles with all their injuries possible come into Giants stadium and win? Well......that's life in the NFL baby!! Had the Giants won that game like they should have, this line would probably be Giants +3 or +4.

Keep in mind the previous 2 Giant games. They managed to do something that NOBODY else had done in over 2+ years. Win a game as a visitor at Foxborough!! Then again on the road had a serious chance and threatened late to win in Sanfran. Last week's let down is why this line is so high. Dallas has already won this week which also may be a motivating factor here. We must keep pace boys now that Philly and Washington are out of the picture.

Saints are a good club but aren't anything special. Need we be reminded about the stinker they put up against the hapless rams?? The Panthers also had them all but beat and croaked with seconds left.

Winable game for the G men

35-24 no

35-24 NO

Should be a shootout. I see NYG making some inopportune turnovers and NO capitalizing on them. Brees will not lose in NO. NYG keeps it close, but NO pulls away at the end and seals the victory 35-24.

BOL to all betting on the game, I'm on the OVER 51.

NO 31 - 24
NO will win a shootout. Brees has played down to level of competition so far. He will shine in the Monday night spot light with his "Under" the defense passes against the Giants.

NYG 28
New Orleans 24

The Giants have held to high scoring offenses in check already this year (Philadelphia and NE). If Manning can control the noise factor in the Superdome, they may have a chance to pull this one out. The running game of the Giants will be critical for the road win. NY is in a playoff push and NO can afford a loss to stay in top place in the NFC south.
NY's defence will be the major factor in tonight's game if they want to stay in the playoff hunt.

The Giants play to the level of their competition and almost always play well on the road(probably a better road team than home team). And when they play well, they play good defense. Look for the Giants D to step it up tonight after last weeks dismal performance and pressure Brees all night. Many think this is a must win for the Giants with Green Bay up next but in reality it is not. In fact the Giants could actually lose both these games and still can control their own destiny to winning the division. I think the Giants will keep this game very close and wont be as high scoring as most think, but will still fall short in the end...

Saints 23

Giants 20

31-21 saints

Saints passing attack is light years ahead of the NYG secondary. NYG pass O should be effective against the Saints, but not having Bradshaw will hurt overall. The Dome is one of the best home field advantages in the NFL. Saints ROLL

Saints 30 Giants 27

Eli Manning returning to his hometown. However Saints are playing their first game since 11-13 and the rest was much needed for them. Their last game was hard battle that they pulled out in OT. At home the Saints are 4-0 and have a 40-17 points per game edge.
Sean Payton is facing his Ex team. But Payton is 2-8 ATS as a home fav facing a team coming off of two loses. The Saints are and 8th best in the yards per carry department with 4.6 per carry average. With a plethora of running backs ( Ingram , Sproles , Ivory an Pierre Thomas). The Giants have the leagues worst average with 3.2 per carry and are second worat in the league on the rishing game. They do however have the number one spot in the league for sacks. One key injury for the Giants will be Michael Boley ( linebacker ) with a hamstring injury.
I think this could possibly be a very close game but I gotta back the Saints at home.

24-20 NYG SU winners for the simple fact the public is all over NO and the OVER. Everyone knows they keep the MNF scores close to keep viewers. If this game goes over in the early 3rd quarter....bye bye ratings. Not a great analysis but I'm also a parts guy not a talking head employed by ESPN.
