The 49ers have to be delighted. Their stadium was approved. They qualified for league loan money. And they got a minority owner.

Where they building? I used to live in Daly City. Candlestick was a shithole.

They are building in Santa Clara .Right by their practice field. Its not far from 101 and its right off hwy 237.Right by the Old Great America. Which means it is accessible to the East BAY and makes the drive to Sacramento alot faster because of 680 to 80 EAST.That since I grew up not too far from Candlestick Park and now live in Sacramento area a way easier drive.Especially home after games.I feel for the city of San Francisco.But this is way better for the team ,atmosphere and the traveling fan.I cant wait.The stadium is state of the art.First the Giants got out and got a state of the art stadium ,now the Niners get out of that wind zone.

I live 20 minutes away from candlestick. The "stadium", if you can even call it that sucks, but got over 3 decades of memories there. Jus thope they don't call it the "SAN JOSE 49ers"

It is Bascally San Jose.
Id like the idea better if it were near the city.

This cuts them off from Northern California. May be a little to far for the fans around here. Agree that its a nice area.
