49ers Saints breakdown

I think we would agree that the key to beating the Saints is defense, correct?* You won't outscore them unless you are Green Bay.* Certainly San Fran won't.*
*
So I was looking at San Fran's defense, which we all know is one of the best.
*
First of all - Stafford, Vick and Eli were the only top 10 QBs they faced (Ben was injured when they played).*** Stats:
*
Vick 30/46 416 yds 2 TD 1 INT - 23 points scored
Eli 26/40 311 yds 2 TD 2 INT* - 20 points scored
Stafford 28/50 293 yds 2 TD 0 INT - 19 points scored
*
The only other half-decent QB they played was Romo, in the game where Romo was hurt during the 3rd quarter and Kitna filled in.* Combined stats for the two:
*
Romo/Kitna - 26/43* 432 yds* 3 TD 2 INT (both by Kitna) - 27 points scored
*
Take these four games away, and the 49ers D held their opponents to 128 pts over 12 games.* (27 of those points were the recent St Louis game).*
*
Brees played 5 games on grass this season and averaged 32/46* 369 yds 1.8 TD, 1.2 INT
*
The Saints will score 40

you forgot to mention 4 out of the 5 games they played on grass were vs.
jacksonville, tampa bay , carolina and tennesse.

They lost to Tampa lol They should have lost to Tennessee and could have easily lost to the Panthers squeeking out a 3 point win against that defense.

and if you think that was a fluke then look how they did on turf @ St. Lious getting housed by double digits to the rams.

Last playoff game they played on the west coast they lost to the worst team in nfl playoff history, litterally.

they better score 40

That is very true.....a good counter argument. Seattle is a whole different animal at home. I don't see the SF environment being anything remotely like that though.
