You might be right, but I must support my fellow Sooner alums. Between Bradford, McCoy, and Williams, alot of $$$$$$$ and more recruits will be coming to Norman. Damn I'm selfish............

On a serious note, the NFL needs a rookie salary cap. Things are getting out of control. Some of the small market teams will always be cash strapped under the current system.

Close enough.......I'm originally from Kansas City, but went to college at OU. You're right, its an awful lot of money for anyone who has never taken a snap in the NFL. The NFL has a problem on its hands and unfortunately a lockout appears to be the only answer right now. I hope they figure things out before the lockout comes.

Correct.. But the owners will compensate the players by using the money saved ( some of it) to be back loaded into the pension package for past and future NFL players.. This should smooth things over for the current NFL players and since the future undrafted players dont get a vote dont see it stopping the NFL IMO again.. Sure more things to iron out but the savings for the owners on this point should help clear the way for the other hurdles..

this whole deal probably helped make the minds of Juniors that ' came out ' this year, and will also possibly keep the Juniors next year from coming out. IMHO

Indeed. But why didn't the Rams use this to leverage Bradford into taking less money? Tell him to either take $35m guaranteed or re-enter the draft next year and take much, much less.

The Rams are becoming this decade's Lions, assuming the Lions themselves lose that label at some point. Taking a QB #1 overall and paying him $50m when he didn't even play last year? He has hardly shown an ability to stay healthy, much less an ability to deal with any sort of pass rush, thanks to a stellar o-line performance in his Heisman year.
