advice minn/cleve

Gang \
I have 3 different teasers - all with minny +3.5 as the only game remaining to win.
I can win almost $550 if they win or lose buy less than 3.5.

Here is the question. Should I make a straight play on Cleveland at +3.5 to hedge my bet? Possibly get a middle out of it.

If so how much?
Do I get greedy and try and middle for $500 or play for $250 on the Browns?
Thanks in advance
Klaze

I'd like to say let it ride as you are sitting pretty. But ANY TIME there is a chance to get FREE MONEY - You gotta take it!!

How much is at risk on the teaser?

i would stay where you are and not do anything. this game could get ugly for clev. since minn will pound them with peterson all day long. and they will stop browns running game. could be lot of to's for clev in this one as they will make quin and the browns try to beat them with passing game.

I see what you're saying, but we're talking about GUARANTEED money. You gotta hedge in that situation, question is how much?

line moved a bit in my favor.
I took Cleve +4 for $275.

Maybe hit a middle. anywhere between +3.5 for minny to +4 for cleve
Thanks for the input

You can get guaranteed money no matter the outcome, but the chances are it won't be that much (you'd actually be rooting for Cleveland):

Alright, so you got $450 to win $550 on Minny +3.5
How about betting $500 on the Cleveland Money Line +180?

That way, if Minnesota wins, you win the $550 - $500 = +$50
If Cleveland wins by less than 4, you win $550 + $900 = +$1,450
If Cleveland wins by 4 or more, you lose the $450 but win $900 = +$1350

Or better yet, play the odds and bet $250 on Cleveland ML +180
Minny Wins = $550 - $250 = +$300.00
Cleveland wins by less than 4 = $500 + $450 = +$950
Cleveland wins by more than 4 (most unlikely) = -$450 + $450 = EVEN STEVEN

Thanks for the thought. I honestly dont think Cleve will win this game. BUt they might get a back door cover. Good idea on the ML though.
Thanks

wouldn't you only win $450 in that situation?? i like the way you have hedged. when you put the play in, you knew there was a possibility that you could lose, therefore i would not hedge the entire bet.

Thanks tiger.
I still like minny alot in this game. But I figure if I hedge almost half, I have some good middling opportunities but low risk.
