After the way they have been playing, they better not...

Chargers won’t raise ticket prices for ‘09

SAN DIEGO (AP)—The San Diego Chargers said Tuesday they will not raise the price of season tickets for the 2009 season.
Regular-season prices will remain at $48 per game, while seats in the club section will begin at $140 per game.
The team also said it will lower the price on approximately 1,300 tickets next year in expanded family sections. The season ticket price in those sections will be $48 per game and alcohol will be banned.
“We have listened to the many fans who are interested in bringing their family and sitting in the family section,” executive vice president A.G. Spanos, the grandson of owner Alex Spanos, said in a statement. “With these changes for 2009, the Chargers will now have one of the largest designated family areas in the NFL.”
The Chargers (5-8) were projected by many to reach the Super Bowl but instead have been all but mathematically eliminated from contention in the AFC West. They trail the Denver Broncos by three games with three to go.

The team needed help from the local Fox affiliate and the NFL Network to guarantee sellouts of its last two games and lift the local TV blackout.

All in fun RJB.

considering tons of fans are pissed and dont even have the money to renew their season tix this is not a shocker. of course they have raised them the last like 4 years in a row so its not like they're handing out charity or anything

and i was asking if the bears had a section like that cuz i dont think they would. everyone in chicago drinks at the games i'm sure...san diego is more family oriented, plus they cant charge a ton of money because its hard enough getting a sell out every week with all the other stuff to do

The Chargers also announced they would lower prices on about 1,300 seats that will now be part of the Family Section in the View level. Those tickets will cost $48. No alcohol is served in the Family Section, which is being increased from 300 seats.

cuz most people want to drink when they go and a lot of people shy away from bringing their kids because of the "adult" behavior i'm sure...like fighting, cursing etc. just some extra incentive probably

They do have a family section at the Ralph. IMO doesn't work at all for football. Baseball a much better idea

I know they have a "family section" at the Ralph....my point is that it accomplishes nothing--especially there--Ive seen a bunch of shit go on in that section!!

I agree with baseball though Chris!!
