AJ Smith/Vincent Jackson

I'll be the first to say that AJ Smith is an errogant piece of crap. I think he could be one of the best GMs in the NFL if he was not so errogant.

But good for him for screwing that piece of crap Jackson. VJ although very talented is a complete joke and nice job by AJ laying it to him and not breaking on an average trade proposal!

LMAO at VJ stating he will backload his next contract so that SD does not get a 3rd round comp pick. VJ wants money so bad there is no way he would ever do that.

AJ does need to work something out with Mcneil who does not have the bad character issues that VJ has.

Aj is the master at trades in the NFL. He fleeced seahawks not even 3 months ago for a 3rd string qb. The guy knows what he's doing..bottom line is the team is not doing long term deals before the labor situation is resolved and vjax has shown immaturity several times in important spots so he has to go but not given away.

Maybe both Smith & the players are arrogant & stupid. But if the Chargers win, make the playoffs, then who knows what will be written then. But for Jackson & McNeil to forgo their tenders is really strange in this day in age in pro sports. I would have signed it, proved my worth & get paid in the off season.

Hopefully these boys have budgeted their dough & won't run into money problems, as it may be a long time before they see a pay check again.

Vincent Jackson is an asshole. Talented receiver, but an asshole. What leverage do you really have considering you're suspended to start the season. Given his attitude and demands half the teams in the league will certainly shy away. I normally side with a player, but this guy just bugs me.

Dont see why he is getting so much attention. He is not an elite WR.. Granted, he is good, but not even Top 10 in the NFL.. Dont think he has even ever caught more than 70 balls in a season. Whats his high TD year, 8 or 9? Cmon.. He can catch the deep ball, but not a complete WR imo.

what cracks me up is that the patriots routinely let guys go who have been loyal to the franchise instead of paying them and since they've won a few championships it's looked upon as intelligent player mgmt but the chargers tell a problem guy who wants guaranteed money with no guarantee that he won't continue to be a douchebag that they aren't signing him to a longterm deal before the issues of next season then everyone looks at SD like they're assholes

believe me, i hope the chargers never win a super bowl, but i don't see how they're wrong this time

he is most definitely top 10 who are u kidding? if not for his duis teams would have dealt more than they did for marshall. The only reason he doesn't have top 2 or 3 stats is gates and lt before. Guys like Andre Johnson see so many more targets u can't even compare the two

personally i dont think vjax is a top 10 receiver in this league either

he may put up top 10 numbers but its cause he has a top 3 qb and has been on a top 5 offense the last couple of years

vjax is in the 10-20 wr tier imo

name 10 better please...i dont know why we are penalizing him for having a good qb. if anything he's hurt because of how many others around him take up his opportunities to catch the ball

In no particular order -
1. Andre Johnson
2. Randy Moss
3. Larry Fitzgerald
4. Brandon Marshall
5. Reggie Wayne
6. Miles Austin
7. Chad Ochocinco
8. Calvin Johnson

All better and not even arguable

after that I can fill in another 5 that i personally think are better, that I would rather have - but are debatable - those 8 are not
