The list of Ghetto Thugs continues:

Jets DE Shawn Ellis arrested for marijuana possession and driving with no insurance...???

Are you kidding me??

Another one who should be kicked out--what a joke!!

But what do I know, in my last "NFL player arrested" thread, PittViper basically called me a racist!!

Sean Avery looks like a saint compared to these morons!!!

Give me a f'in break. Two petty misdemeanors=ghetto thug. There can't be anything more harmless that's considered a crime, maybe jaywalking. The suspension he'll get is probably already more punishment than he deserves, but maybe he won't get that considering Matt Jones got caught sniffing coke of his dashboard and still hasn't been suspended. If Ellis does, I suspect Goodell of being a hypocrite cokehead.

give me a friggin break!
the bottom line is he is a public figure and making huge amounts of money because of it. He is a "ghetto thug" simply because with every reason to be a straight upstanding indiv of means & substance he CHOOSES to be a lawbreaker.
Yes he will probably get off w/ a slap on the wrist he got the money to buy his way out of trouble but that does'nt change the fact that deep down inside he is a ghetto boy at heart.
Oh btw, before anybody goes and call me a racist just so you know I am not white, that said I will call it like I see in spite of that fact...

it is a league of thugs. i mean look at the college athletes, look at Florida. if you look at florida, they have players of their team that were arrested for FIRING AN ASSAULT RIFLE IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX that are still on the team.

they are the most thug of all. look it up, its bad.

2 PETTY MISDEMEANORS. There is nothing to buy his way out of. The legal penalty for both combined is about $500 in fines. I wouldn't give a shit if my next door neighbor's were caught with bud and w/out insurance.

I would hope you'd give a shit if the guy next to you is driving his car under the influence of drugs. And if he hit your car while he was stoned, I'm sure you'd care that he didn't have insurance.

At 8:30 in the morning, he was charged with: possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; speeding; driving without insurance; failing to keep right; and failure to have a valid registration card.

Not public enemy # 1 here, but that is not nothing either.

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

here is a small list of florida players that have been in trouble lately in the Meyer area. True thugs

cameron newton back up QB -- stealing another student's laptop

Jarvis Moss (guy who blocked those 2 FG against South Carolina in 06) --- failed drug tests

Marcus Thomas (DT) --- marijuana and GHB.

Avery Atkins (DB) --- assault & battery on the mother of his child. Benerah Sanford, told police: She and Atkins argued Saturday on a drive to Atkins’ grandmother’s house. Atkins leaned over and punched her at least 13 times, and pushed her face against the car’s window while he conversed with relatives. Every time Sanford tried to exit the car, Atkins either punched her or stepped on the gas. When the pair finally arrived at Atkins’ home, she ran off and called the police.
Earlier this month, Atkins was found in a car in Daytona Beach with weed, gun and digital scales. To top it off, it was not his car. He had enrolled in UF in January with plans to “fight his way back to the cornerback slot.”

Branden James (CURRENT punt returner) ---- caught in a "buy bust" in Gainesville for pot. one felony and one misdemeanor, purchase of a controlled substance and possession of greater than 20 grams of marijuana.

Riley Cooper (WR now) ---- criminal mischief for punching through a windshield.

Dorian Munroe (current DB) ----- charged with felony for removing a police parking boot from his car.

Ronnie Wilson (OT) ---- spit on and slapped a man at a club. then fired an AK-47 at him. Works his way back on squad after being suspended and......gets charged with constructive possession of pot. he gets off on that and meyer lets him back on the team. im glad you can fire assault rifles in the air at ppl and still play football at florida.

Dusty Doe (current LB and 3 yr starter) ---- charged with public fighting after a gang fight outside a night club.

Dee Webb, Andre Caldwell (former Gator), Reggie Lewis----had a $60,000 SUV loaded with improperly registered AK’s and other machine guns… and they were all drunk while shooting at apartment windows for fun. Of course initially nobody took the blame and they all said they were in the shower (together) and that the gun must have shot itself…

Dallas Baker (former WR, now I believe a Steeler) ---stolen bike.

Tauren Charles (not a Meyer recruit ---- Zooker guy ) - A UF student said Charles touched her against her will, the sworn complaint issued by the university police department said. Charles allegedly slammed her on the bed and onto a computer desk, picked her up over his head and threw her down on her roommate’s bed, according to the complaint. Charles was later dismissed from the Florida team

Nyan Boateng (Meyer Player---later transferred to Cal i think) --- gets in fight with a girl in his roo, knife comes out, she stabs him.

Percy Harvin (You all know who he is) --- banned from athletic competition in VA in HS after an altercation during a bball game as a junior, then senior year for "offensive language" and making contact with ref. ----- later got into a fight with Chris Rainey and punched the shit outta him.

Matt Patchan (current OL ---I think starting---and Meyer recruit last year) ----- was shot in a park in TB. In all fairness to him, does not seem he was involved in the incident that caused the shooting, but was a bystander to the altercation. Still, guns and Florida players must just be attracted to each other.

So, my point here is that just look at UF. look at the violent players on their team. Now, think about all the other big time schools. Of course the NFL is a league of thugs.

Meyer gets a free pass on this from the media. At least Saban kicked off Jimmy Johns for selling coke.
