I don't see why they are even keeping the kickoffs... just to save face really.

More touchbacks and maybe more TD's well

Nah, I love watching these touchbacks. I always get a heart attack watching the opposite team returns for a TD!!!!!

agree, I feel like certain teams will by affected by this more than others

but as stated above, theres been a few taken back for TDs already so its not like this is the death of the return game

I think we will see alot more kicks returned from the end zone this year because of the new rule. I heard an interview the other day with a kick returner(can't remember who it was) and he was saying that there will be alot of kickers now trying to drive the kickoff deep into the endzone for a touchback. But if they fail to get it deep enough, because of the low driving kick this will allow room for possible returns since they will outkick the coverage most times. I know in most games I watched this week, there seemed to be many kicks returned from deep in the end zone. more than normal anyway...

i also heard that coaches don' want to see returns from the end zone and one player who i forget who it was got chewed out by the coach on the side lines. Why gamble when you got the ball on the twenty instead of what may develop trying to run the ball out deep from the end zone. I think you will see more knees.
