Anybody get the feeling

That Vinny Young is an NFL playoff type QB?

couldn't back it up with any type of logic, just a feeling I get.

I know Fisher has struggled to beat SD but he is better then Turner.

I think Tenny wins this one.

It will be close & 9 is a gift.

Tenn +9------3*

YTD 2-0 +6*

Tenn 21
SD 20

games are gonna be sick.

I like Tenn +9 more if Kerry Collins is playing.

Collins has had many chances in his career. Once VY gets some receivers you will see Fisher open up the game a bit more.

I agree that VY has it in his game to carry Tenn to a victory, Collins can't (IMO).

Funny thing is Jared and RJB...........VY is the underdog and has nothing to lose. He also loves it when people doubt his abiltity......just ask USC!! It's just too bad he is not completely healthy and doesn't have near the offensive weapons as SD. But it is going to be so freaking sweet if he pulls this off! It is a great position to be in from my standpoint. Nothing to lose and a whole lot of potential sh** talking to gain!!

would lack of accuracy in his throwing arm count as lack of offensive weaponry?

Ya, he was like 14 of 18 when he went out of the Indy game and led the country in passer efficiency in his final season at UT. Hate on hater......I am so sick of listening to you Meril Hodge copycats! The guy has "it" and it might not be this weekend, but eventually all of you haters will find out!

k homes. 57 passer rating going into this season and 9 td on 17 picks in 07. in case you didn't notice NFL a bit diff't than NCAA.

i wasn't hating, just taking a pot shot at your homerism.

No doubt the INT's are too high, but it would help to have some weapons to throw to and the TD's would be higher. If the TD output was higher the passer rating, which is the most overrated stat in the NFL, would be higher. It's not all that uncommon for a NFL qb to have around 17 INT's in a season, just check out the numbers of Romo, Manning, etc. But the lack of TD's makes it seem a lot worse that it really is. The lack of WR's and playmakers on this team directly affects the TD total. If you don't have any playmakers to throw to you probably won't throw a lot of TD's, it's common sense. Also, for you SD lovers. Phillip Rivers completion % is 60.2. VY is 62.3. Just thought I would throw that out there for RJB and Jahred. Completion percentage is a lot more important IMO than passer rating anyway. Passer rating has more to do with the other guys around you. You guys hating on VY would know that if you knew anything about football. The only reason Rivers has the better TD output is because he has weapons like LT and Gates and not guys like Justin Gage and washed up Eric Moulds to throw to. Like I have said numerous times before, put Rivers or many other NFL qb's for that matter in the Titan offense and see what their numbers look like. I promise you, Rivers and many others, such as Eli, etc., would have numbers as bad or worse than VY's if they were in his place. VY on the other hand, would have better numbers than those guys if he were in their place.

Except you obviously! Share some knowledge with me then smartass. Don't just jump in and play the hater game. Provide some facts or at least some insight. Anyone that knows anything about the game of football knows that it would be very difficult to argue with any of the statements I made about the weapons, etc. and how they relate to numbers and stats.
