Anyone want to change their vote? I think we did this one a little early.

I think any team from Pre-1990 would have trouble beating most NFL teams today.

Is this even a legitimate question? Or just a talking point?

It is asked as if there is no real right answer, however, the right answer is blatantly obvious.

Pats would smack them around.

What a joke this question is.Their is highschool teams in this day and age that are bigger upfront than the 1972 dolphins. This team was not great at all sure they won every game but they played no one that year. They played 5 times over 500 that year. Also these guys are a bunch of ass's...The 2007 dolphins would punish the 1972 dolphins.Size does matter

Most people will never understand that THE GAME IS DECIDED BY THE MEN UP FRONT........Not the qb's and WR's,RB's............

I know a guy you can ask about this his name is Tom Brady.

True. Even as a Dolphin diehard, the 72 team has nothing on this Patriots squad - or any of the big teams of the last 20 years. (Aikman's Cowboys, Ditka's Bears or Montana's 49ers)
Just my opinion though - lots of the discrepancy is of course the size of the lines.

I would take the 1985 fridge vs the 72 dolphins defense.
Did the 72 dolphins have leather helmets?

I did watch the replay of this superbowl in 1972 or whatever it was.It was about as bad as some highschool games i have seen.No comparison and Mercury Morris sucks balls he is a disgrace to the old NFL.Hopefully he will go out soon man i am so sick of his mouth!!!!!11

85 bears would get hammered today

the 46 defense back then took teams by surprise, and once teams saw it, they had no solution on offense....it was like the normandy invasion

I think there are too many prissy-boys in the NFL compared to pre-1990s. Nowadays it's about "preserving" the grills and falling down b4 getting hit as opposed to Riggin, W. Payton, F Harris, L Czonka days and the pride/defensive stoppage they had to suffer thru.

Only the Linemen have truly stepped up with their roid rage by doing it in high school now.

who would win out? guts or style? To me the $$$$ flow has caused lazyness...mighta only been fewer games back in da day...but they took a beating and could probably hold up better than you think vs these set-em-down in da 4th so they dont get hurt players.
