Bears Off Coordinator Search

its turned laughable at this point. I believe 7 guys have either been interviewed or turned down interviews at this point and now they are looking at the college ranks with Mike Martz still out there and begging for the job.

nobody wants to work with Lovie Smith because they know he is going to be fired soon. The Bears schedule is one of the league's toughest next year and you have no first or second round draft choices.

tough home games...

Green Bay, Minny, Philly, New England, New York Jets

tough away games....

green bay, minny, Dallas, New york giants, Miami, Carolina

Lovie probably doesnt want him because he knows Martz will go after his job when things get ugly.

Dr Jack, i get the Sun Times and everyday i read about this BS. Mike Martz has been mentioned about 50 times in the last couple of months and you never hear anything from Hallas Hall about bringing him on. McCaskey's are a very cheap ownership historically and i think they dont want to pony up for what Martz would command.

either that or nobody wants to work with Cutler ( cue RJB in 3....2.....1)

i think 3 of the guys that turned it down were QB coaches and one of them went to the OAKLAND RAIDERS

turn down the chicago bears to go be the coordinator for Jamarcus russell and al davis

Everyone seems to have opinions about why guys are not taking the OC job, and not Bear fans..

Here are some reasons certain guys did not take the position

1. The biggest, Lovie has a target on his back, so why would someone take a job w/o knowing who his boss would be in a year and possibly be looking for another job at that point.

2. Lovie wanted martz and Angelo said NO..Martz does great on turf and indoors..no fit in Chicago where they want to run the ball

3. Saying Cutler is the reason no one has taken the job is an ignorant comment and self serving.

4. The Oakland job was taken by a guy who grew up in Oakland, was a Raider fan and he had the chance to go home.

5. Only a dumbass would think getting a shot at an NFL job in Chicago is a shit job. Maybe things look bleek now, but they do turn around.

The OC at Pitt Panthers is now in sight..

Funny how Cower abnnounced the day before the announcement Lovie was staying, that he would NOT coach this season. Word is he wants one of two spots, Chicago or New York, and my guess it's Chicago next season.
