Bears spending $$$$, as predicted

As predicted, the Bears are taking the $$ that were not spent on the two draft picks used to get Cutler, to fill needs with players that are ready to step in and produce now.

Martz rated SD TE Manumaloneu as one of the top blocking TE's in the NFL and he has signed. This frees up the posibility of trading TE Olson for a second or 3rd round draft pick that can be used to get a defensive back to fill their need at safety and this draft is loaded there.

Peppers is on a private jet, with Lovie, comin to Chicago. Peppers intimated that was where he would like to play and if Lovie doen't get him to sign, I doubt he survives next season. Getting Peppers would allow the Bears to move A Brown to the left side, where HOFer Dan Hampton has been screaming for him to play.

Chester Taylor will also sign today, giving the Bears either support for Forte, or have Taylor start.

I doubt they could have drafted better players to take care of their immediate needs

Chicago obviously being very aggressive. To an outsider, it seems clear the Bears GM/Coach understand it's their job on the line and they need to make some serious moves. I don't blame them and it will be interesting to see what happens moving forward

No doubt this is the case. Their schedule is brutal and if they want jobs in 2011, these moves are necessary. They will also have to have a decent draft as D Backs and O Line are needed

I thought you knew a blocking TE was part of the O Line, but maybe you forgot while on vacation
