Smile Best Bet & a tease

Indianapolis Colts at Cleveland Browns

Indianapolis won their 4th-straight game last week, outlasting San Diego 23-20. Cleveland put in a lackluster performance in a 16-6 home loss to Houston. The Colts rank 32nd in running the ball but have started to turn it around. They will try to run to keep the defense honest but their game plan will be to pass the ball. Indy makes lots of plays off of play action and that is why they won't abandon the run. Cleveland has struggled to mount a consistent pass rush and their corners have struggled when forced to stay with receivers for an extended time. We like Peyton Manning to be patient and to find open receivers all over the field. Cleveland is back with QB Derek Anderson as QB Brady Quinn is done for the year with a finger injury. Anderson has a QB rating of 66 and is completing only 49% of his passes. Cleveland has won all three games that RB Jamal Lewis has carried the ball 20+ times and look for him to be the focus of the offense. The Colts have had their struggles vs. the run but they will crowd the line in this matchup. WR Braylon Edwards leads the league in dropped passes and Anderson has made many mistakes when pressured. The Colts are on the upswing and the Browns' season has spiraled downward. Indy is winning close games but all of their recent opponents are better than Cleveland. Look for the huge edge at QB to be the difference for the Colts.

Wiz's best bet:Indianapolis-5

Buffalo-1/NY Jets-2 (tease)

Green Bay+3/New Orleans+10 (tease)
Miami-1/Baltimore-1 (tease)

I almost pulled the trigger on that same exact Buff/NYJ teaser, Mick. That QB Hill makes me a little nervous though. Feast or famine with that guy. I'm sure you'll be fine though. Just treading very lightly in the NFL lately and maybe being too overly cautious with my picks. Sweep 'em up, bro.
