At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Arizona Cardinals (3.2, +220) and Green Bay Packers (1.44, -227)
Packers are 2-0 ATS versus NFC West opponents during exhibition play, while the Cardinals are 7-8 ATS in their last 15 chances against NFC North foes.
Arizona plays its second consecutive road game to start the 2011 preseason and is coming off a 24-18 win over the Oakland Raiders as 3.5-point underdogs. The Cardinals began life with new quarterback Kevin Kolb last week, as he finished completing 4-of-7 passes for 68 yards in his debut. He came over via-trade from Philadelphia and signed a five-year, $63 million contract. Nobody is happier with his arrival than wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who caught 90 passes for 1,137 yards and six touchdowns in 2010. Arizona is 3-2 ATS as an underdog in its last five exhibition games.
The Cardinals are in contract talks with Fitzgerald currently after letting Steve Breaston sign with the Kansas City Chiefs and not being able to sign free agent Braylon Edwards. “It’s something we’re not worried about,” said undrafted rookie Stephen Williams. “We have great receivers and we’re young, too.” Offensively, the team can’t do much worst than how it performed in 2010, ranking 31st in the league by throwing for just 182.6 yards a game.
