BFD Mock 4.0 WITH TRADES!

OK so i decided to throw a little curveball in this mock. I dont usually predict trades but there are a lot of key prospects that might slip and a lot of teams looking to move. I didnt predict a huge amount of trades but enough to make it exciting.

I might add a RD 2 tomorrow or Thursday before the draft if i get a chance. Enjoy.

1. Rams- Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma: Theres a lot of speculation the Rams will make a draft day trade, but I find that hard to believe. Despite concerns of Bradfords shoulder and him being a spread QB, I think the Rams will still select him if they cant trade out. Prev: Same

2. Lions- Nmadukong Suh, DT, Nebraska: Was leaning more and more this way last mock and finally have pulled the trigger. The Lions seem to be set with their O-Line going into next year and could be looking at a prospect in RD 2 for the future. Why Suh over McCoy? Besides the fact hes a beast, he has one of the best work ethics of anyone at his position since most people can remember coming into a draft. Prev: Russell Okung

3. Buccaneers- Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma: Would be shocked if this wasn’t the selection for the Bucs. They are so weak up front that I cant fathom them not taking the best available D-Line prospect with this pick. As far as decision the Bucs should have the easiest one right here in the whole draft. Prev: Nmadukong Suh

4. Redskins- Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma St: I wouldn’t be shocked to see Trent Williams go in this pick. His upside is a lot higher than Okung. That being said Okung is the overall most solid LT in the draft and the Redskins will need him to be ready to contribute asap. Prev: Trent Williams

**Trade**
5. 49ers (via trade w/ Chiefs)- Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame: For a team on the cusp the 49ers have a lot of room to be aggressive in this draft. The Chiefs are believed to be looking to trade out and im not believing they wont get the price they want to do so. Im not sold on Alex Smith as a long term solution, but he will be a solid car driver while Clausen develops. . Prev: Bryan Bulaga

6. Seahawks- Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma: This team has a lot of holes so they are pretty much in position to do anything. This is a really hard pick for me because I feel playmakers like Eric Berry and CJ Spiller are going to be hard to let slide. In the end it starts in the trenches and they should rebuild there with Williams. Prev: Gerald McCoy

7. Browns- Eric Berry, S, Tennessee: Berry. If they do anything else then they are stupid. The fact he is still here for them is a miracle. Prev: Same

8. Raiders- Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland: This is laughable that Campbell is being drafted here, but don’t be shocked. Last year in my mocks I had DHB here for the fact that Al Davis loves speed and numbers. I told myself that theres no way DHB goes this high. I wont make the same mistake this year. Prev: Jimmy Clausen

9. Bills- Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa: Dez Bryant has officially become a slider and with Bulaga now present Im not sure the Bills can pass on a premier LT prospect. Prev: Dez Bryant

**Trade**
10. Texans( via trade w/ Jags)- Earl Thomas, S, Texas:
This would be a fairly uncharacteristic move for the Texans, but they HAVE to come away with a playmaker in the secondary if they want a shot to turn the corner in the division. The Jags have been aching to trade down out of this spot. Prev: Rolando McClain

11. Broncos- Maurkice Pouncey, G/C, Florida: Just don’t believe Dez Bryant is going to land here. This pick should be between Pouncey, Dan Williams, and McClain. Pouncey still makes the most sense as a player who will start for the next 10 years. A bit of a reach for his position, but he fills a void in two positions on the Broncos line. Prev: Same

12. Dolphins- Joe Haden, CB, Florida: I still think by adding another shut down CB right here and moving Sean Smith to safety will kill two birds with one stone. This pick will be defense and Kindle and Dan Williams are also options here. Prev: Same

13. Cheifs (via trade w/ 49ers) - Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama: KC has some huge holes to fill. With the elite safety and tackle prospects off the board they should look to draft a leader for their defense. Prev: Earl Thomas

14. Seahawks- CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson: If CJ Spiller is still sitting here they will be lucky. Hes a huge playmaker that I wouldn’t be shocked to see someone flying up before this to get him. Prev: Same

15. Giants- Dan Williams, DT, Tennesee: The Giants can do a lot of things here on the defensive side of the ball. Williams is the best fit for them of the top prospects left. Prev: Kyle Wilson

16. Titans- Derrick Morgan, DE, Ga Tech: Yes this pick is still Morgan and yes the Titans need a pass rusher. Kyle Wilson could look intriguing here but a 4-3 DE is most necessary. Prev: Same

17. 49ers- Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise St: Kyle Wilson is 1C to Haden‘s 1A at the CB position. The 49ers need help there and Wilson should at the top of their board at this point. Prev: Anthony Davis

18. Steelers- Mike Iupati, G, Idaho: Iupati is a mauler with a lot of rawness that the Steelers organization seems to like. Pittsburgh is having a lot of holes open up as far as weaknesses go so IMO they could be prepared to trade down for someone coming after Dez Bryant. Prev: Same

**Trade**
19. Dallas Cowboys (via trade w/ Falcons) Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma St: I firmly believe if Dez slides to this point that Jerry will get in there and get an unbelievable playmaking talent hes always longed for at WR. I honestly do not believe the Cowboys are comfortable with their current WR group past Miles Austin. Now Dez can go over to Deion‘s as much as he wants. BTW I debated this heavily, but it the end I feel it’s a move Jerry would make. Prev: Carlos Dunlap

20. Jaguars- Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama: Well its not quite Tim Tebow but it does make them a lot better. IN the “keep up with the Colts division,” lockdown secondary is a must. The Jags should look at Jackson or Weatherspoon at OLB as well. Prev: Kareem Jackson

21. Cincinnati- Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma: This need is too overwhelming to ignore. With the best TE sitting here for them the natti shouldn’t need much time with this selection Prev: Taylor Mays

22. Patriots- Sergio Kindle, OLB/DE, Texas: The hybrid OLB is the biggest priority for the Patriots. Most likely they could try to trade down but if not Kindle or Hughes are the perfect fits for them. Prev: same

23. Packers- Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers: Davis is a very nice tackle prospect with a lot of upside. The Packers have surrendered far too many sacks since Aaron Rodgers took over and they need to change that drastically. Prev: Charles Brown

24. Eagles- Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida: The Eagles need D-Line help. JPP has the most upside of any prospect left and they should give him a shot.. Prev: Dan Williams

25. Ravens- Jared Odrick, DT, Penn St: They have a lot of holes on the defensive side of things to fix. Ive heard a few rumors if Odrick is sitting here when they pick, he will be their selection.. Prev: Devin McCourty

26. Cardinals- Jerry Hughes DE/OLB, TCU : The linebacking group needs someone big and versatile and that can rush the passer. Baddabing. Prev: Jermaine Gresham

27. Falcons (via trade w/ Cowboys)- Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida: The Falcons must be willing to take a small gamble here and go after a dominant pass rusher. Dunlap could be a force on the next level at rushing the passer. Prev: Bruce Campbell

**Trade**
28. Browns (via trade w/ Chargers) Colt McCoy, QB, Texas:
After missing out on Clausen they need a QB of the future, the Browns come and secure McCoy at the end of this round. I think McCoy has a promising future and with a couple of years to learn and grow, he could be a star one day in this league. Prev: Jared Odrick

29. Jets- Brandon Graham, DE/OLB, Michigan: The Jets need an upgrade at this position to heighten their pass rush. Insert Graham.. Prev: Same

30. Vikings- Taylor Mays, S, USC: He could be a fit in this system. At this point the Vikings have all the reason in the world to take a chance on such a spectacular athlete. Prev: Colt McCoy

31. Colts- Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers: The Colts always seem to need solidifying in the secondary. McCourty is talented CB that should see regular time as a rookie. Prev: Jason Pierre- Paul

32. Saints- Sean Weatherspoon, OLB, Mizzou: Their front seven has holes all over the place so they can take the best available prospect. Weatherspoon gives them range and athleticism in the LB group that they need with the departure of Fujita. Previous:Same

Thanks Deck

And Yes i do think they would take Colt. Past Favre they are not set on QB by any means. Getting a young guy to mold for the future and learn from and watch Favre could be a great thing.

Aaron Rodgers turned out to be a stud and Favre couldve given two shits about him and his future. This time it should be different because Favre wont be pushed out, he will at most play for 2 more years (you would think) and be done.

Either way the Vikings could afford to make the move because they really do not have glaring weaknesses imo.

The Browns need to come away with a QB of the future because Delhomme and Wallace are not the answer.

Berry would never make it to 12 imo. There would be teams flying up that boards to grab him as i feel BUffalo and Jax would be very willing to trade out. If he did slide that could however give the Dolphins a shot at Earl Thomas at #12.

You never know the Dolphins could be the ones trading up if necesarry. I wish the Cowboys could get him.

I can't see the Dolphins giving away more draft picks. And I know it was wishful thinking

Lol very wishful. I honestly believe Sean Smith could slide to safety. I actually had him going in round 1 in my mock last year to the dolphins as a CB/S and probably playing safety for the phins.
