Big Ben.....no chance at HOF?

With 2 of the worst performances by a Super Bowl quarterback ever, and consistantly mediocre stats when the team is winning, is the pipe dream of Ben going to the HOF just that?

Some of us have said this all along, but he still does have a long career ahead of him. If he wins no more SBs then no way he makes it assuming his stats stay on par. If he wins another SB or two with good stats in those games then yes it could happen.

He ws horrible yesterday, most of his completions were WR screens or completions near the line of scrimmage, besides the couple of passes he made to a wide open Heinz Ward.

Ben's perfromance wasn't horrible yesterday but it surely wasn't good. He had several touch passes especially the TD in the corner of the end zone. He had 2 int but only one of them was his fault. Is he Hall Of Fame, not a chance he doesn't even rate in the top 5 QB's in the NFL today. The only thing you can give Ben is that he is tough and he always keeps you in the game. That is his only selling point to date. I believe if we had Rivers yesterday we would have won that game. I stand here today and say that Ben is nothing more then a product of the players around him. But as a TRUE Steelers fan I say that we have never really had a QB of elite talent. I love this Steeler team for its defense. We bring an offense to the game but its the DEFENSE that everyone pays to see. In Ben's corner I believe he will be having foot and or ankle surgery in the very near future. I also believe that Troy will be seeing the same doctor. Only time will tell.

hes got to make it eventually, to his defense he did play against the best man on man secondary in the league

and only good route runner is old, Hines, the rest are speed guys who cant run routes

to me the Steelers sometimes win in spite of him... with that defense... yes he makes plays when he has to, but would those situations be there with say SD's defense? I think not. I love (hate) that defense - so f'in good.

Don't forget he had Santonio Holmes and still has Heath Miller (pretty damn good). And he hands the ball off more than any QB in the league I think...

Yeah Holmes is real good..ill agree

in the end of course you want balance and need it to win it all

but the most important stats in the new nfl is passing efficiency and defensive pass efficiency

passing and stopping the pass, unlike the past running and stopping the run
