Miami +3 (or on money line if so inclined)

While Miami's defense played very, very well last week (particularly the run D), their offense was putrid. What was interesting about it though was that they were listless on offense - not playing with passion or intensity, full of sloppiness. I think we all know the Miami coaching staff lit a fire underneath these guys this week - and I'd be SHOCKED if we saw the same lackluster effort from a playoff team from last season opening their year on national TV.

Defensively, Miami has always done a great job against Manning, who famously struggles against a 3-4. I think Miami's pass rush will be the difference though. The Colts will not be able to run on Miami either, putting all the pressure on Manning to beat them in the face of constant pressure.

Add to this the fact that 3/4 of the public is on the Colts..... a road favorite on Monday night, no less, which is ALWAYS a no-no. Plus, the public has been hitting the Colts all week and the line is still 3 (and not 3 1/2).

The writing is on the wall..... Miami wins outright tonight.
