Bookmakers divided on Favre in 2010
With the 2010 NFL Draft just about a month away, the Minnesota Vikings are apparently feeling pretty comfortable at the quarterback position even though Brett Favre has not committed to playing next year.
That’s because Minnesota knows that they have Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels waiting to compete for a starting spot if Favre does not return. According to reports, Vikings coach Brad Childress says that he he is OK with Favre waiting until training camp to make his decision whether or not to return for his 20th NFL season. However, that has not stopped the speculation. Many sportsbooks have even posted odds on the likelihood of his return. Paddypower.com is giving 4/9 odds that the three-time NFL MVP will not return, and Sportsbook.com is calling his return to the NFL a favorite at -140. Favre will pay out even money if he decides to hang the cleats up for good.
