The brett farve theory

Does anyone think that Brett Farve and the Vikings played like they did today to get Childress fired? I have thought about this all day. The one sure way to get rid of a coach is to lay down in a home game and get absolutely pulverized in front of fans. Just like the Cowboys did. Wade is gone and now have won 2 games in a row. Just putting this out there to see what other cappers thing about this. It's no secret that the players hate Childress. It has been announced by everyone in sports who talks to NFL players.

No. I just think that it was a bad idea to bring Favre back this season and not accept the fact that it was time to look for the future QB of this team. Childress has something to do with the fact this team is not living up to expectations, but i dont think they laid down.

Think it is too much of a coincendence in the cowboy scenario and I debated it myself. Think it was more that they just gave up and didnt want to play for Phillips anymore but one in the same. As for the Vikings, I say no. Think Brett Favre/ Brad Childress combo is just that bad and they are holding them back and preventing them from winning games. Dont think its intentional at all.

will never buy into the thought that guys go out and tank it to get rid of a coach.....

now yes the cowboys seem to be playing with a little more pride and foucs with Garrett but I don't think they intenitonally went out and shit the bed to get rid of wade.....

Why would Favre want to get Chilly fired? He;s actually the only reason Favre is there and as soon as he gets canned Favre's season is over.

Too think that all the players are going to bomb a game to get a coach fired is ridiculous. Your kind of putting your job on the line too by doing that so why risk it. Unless you find a Facebook group of something called "lets get our coach fired" and all the vikings players have subscribed this is not the case

I don't think they tanked it. this is a bad football team with issues up and down the roster starting with Chidress and Favre. This place has been a circus since August and keeps getting worse. If they quit it was because they knew there season was virtually done and had nothing to do with Childress.

gry: Favre not here for Childress. They don't get along at all from what I hear. It is because of Bevell and his understanding of the offense knowing it was his best shot at being successful.

too Coincidental if you ask me. Farve by far is full of suprises. Playing like he did and Childress getting fired the next day? Bottom line Brett Farve is full of shit and likes that drama and attention from the media. And I would not be suprised that he threw that game to get Chilly fired. the whole team hate the fuking guy.

Look at Farve's stats and tell me he tanked just this last game. Its over and Brett Farves drama sank this team this season.

Always enjoy your view on games but this one has me scratching my head. Way to much on the line for a team to tank on the season. Talking about someone tanking a game is like talking about games being fixed. Maybe I just don't want to believe that this could happen. Human error can some times come off as fixing a game.
Many things contributed to where the Vikings are today. When Brett was picked up 2 years ago some people knew it was a reach. When they sent a plane to get him this season that was way over the edge. If I played on the team I would want to take a shot at this million dollar spoon fed baby. The Vikings are a fine example of why you never put all your eggs in one basket and that rules are kept the same for EVERY player. Not coming to camp to get foot work down with receivers was BS. No one likes it when some get special treatment and Brett was not above that. Brett will have a book out soon but I look forward to hearing from his team mates to see what things were like on the inside. Either way he sits this week and the Vikings get to move on with their future. They have some solid pieces in place and one of the best RB's in the business.

Favre is terrible. The team is terrible. The management is worse, having wasted Millions of dollars on Favre, for 3 wins. Childress is gone. Favre will be gone shortly. Certainly by the end of the season. Maybe one last hurrah against another old QB, going nowheres, that being Donovan J. McNabb. Favre can give McNabb some pointers so when the 'Skins dump him off to Minnesota next year for a #1 pick, McNabb will know what he is getting into.
