Why/How is he overrated? Just curious why people think that. He has won MVP's, Super Bowl, has records/statistics and plays every down for many, many years. What else could he do?

brett favre is a great qb but i can see the overrated argument if someone trys to put him in top 5 or maybe even 10 of all time. He did win 1 superbowl in all those yearsbut has also made HUGE mistakes at critical times and turns the ball over consistently. You live by the gun and die by the gun I guess. I just wouldn't trust him running my team in the playoffs over qb's like montana, elway, young, aikman, brady, manning etc..who I believe are a class above him.

You got some good points be47, but you should see the packers website. No matter what the article is they turn it back into a Brett Favre comment. They are howling!!!!

What qb holds the record for interceptions??? Favre. Been a Green Bay fan forever and I will tell you that Favre staged many a last minute comeback to seal a win for the Pack. Unfortunately it was his mistakes earlier in the game that many times put them in the situation.

brett farve is a sell out.
his situation reminds me of a former outstanding hawaii qb.. timmy chang..
setting alot of records as well as int's.
only difference is farve is a proven warrior with better skills

what qb started 280+ games in a row including play-offs? FAVRE!!!!! any other qb who plays that many games will have just as many INTs. Blanda played a shit load of games and that's whose record favre broke for ints. you people don't see the big picture. of course the ints will happen when you play that many games.

its the timing of those interceptions that concerns me, not the number. Not saying favre isnt a great qb, just not one of the best ever IMO. His consecutive games streak is very impressive.

Lets not get too excited he has bloated stats due to yesterdays game. Before this game everyone was saying Jets might have made a mistake. Lets not jump to conclusions after 4 games. Great quarterback in the past, yes of course. But if he doesnt get to the playoffs and make a run at the ring, people wont remember any of his stats when week 4 was over.
