Buffalo Bills Offseason Thread - Return To The Playoffs

Thats right, return to the playoffs

The Music City BS Blind Man Call hangover has lasted long enough, and is finaly going to end

Maryshawn Lynch, runs like a tank. Capable of carrying a team on his back. Combined with a top 4 o-line gives the bills the ability to sustain long drives.

Got good cap room remaining and will have plenty of players injured for the majority of last season returning healthy and have a young composed qb good at avoiding turnovers. That is, accept for when the coaching staff is straight up retarded

Bigest concern is the coaching, insanely sketching play calls that defy all mathmatical logic and any form of reason

Also, best schedule we had in a long time

HOME - Oak, SF, Sea, SD
AWAY - KC, Zona, STL, Den
Mia 2x NYJ 2x NE 2X

I hope to hell we get stroud

Dude is an allaround dline beast

bigest issue with the d last year was that most teams walked on us, beef up the d line make them pass under pressure and let the speed in the secondary make plays

Puz and mitchell should make quite the lb tandom, not sure who out of the others will take the starting spot next year, lot of competition for it no doubt

Personaly not a fan of taking a wr in the first round, not unless they are of the caliber of Calvin Johnson, way too much of a history of them not panning out. Id rather they add in a guy like LLoyd for cheep who already has experience and who you know can play and pick up the offense quickly. Problem is with price out depth is an issue, but there is always the option of picking up a wo in a later round.

If we could continue to build up the center of the line or get a speed safety with sideline to sideline speed that would help out the d the most i think

At least this year were currently set at qb and o line

You guys are still years away from challenging New England, Indy, and San Diego. You play in the worst division in football and you still could not get to .500 last year. Your QB situation is very iffy, and you do not have a big "go to" WR yet. You also need help at DT and all LB positions. You guys are not the biggest spendthrifts in free agency, so picking up free agents Barrian or Johnson is iffy. I do not see a real #1 WR in the draft, nor do I see a good TE that can catch the ball. You also need help in a lot of back up positions, especially QB, with Losman leaving town.

We will see Q, think your off

NE looks like they could be losing a lot

Edwards is insanely promising, and there is not guarantee JP is going anywhere

I already stated, and obv agree, we need the interior D line (draft)

Evans is very much a go to WR, he just needs somone opo him

As for help at LB, your well off there. Puz was out most of last season after playing huge we now have mitchell and several well experience players who steped up and play big last year including Crowell (very under rated) and digorgio

Seems they had a basis for their trade, sounded familiar, looked over other deals

Jenkins for a 3rd and 5th to Jets
Rogers for a 3rd and 5th to Bengals (didnt go through, 3rd & Bodden did)

Sign DT Spencer Johnson (FA Vikings)

Middle of the D already greatly improved

Bryant Johnson WR (also kr) Visiting Today
2003 17th overall pick out of penn state

Would be a big acquisition after being forced to release price, reed steped up last year but hes no true #2 Reciever. Parrish is a great weapon to have on the field, but hes more of a route runner and a deep threat and is much more dangerous lines up on cb3.

Evans-Johnson-Parrish could prove to be a dangerous combination

getting stacked....very good defensive line....probably the best back-up d tackle in the game kyle williams....bc who would you rather get crump or johnson....taking into consideration we could probably get the number 1 wide out in the draft?.........that made it sound like i'm leaning towards crumpler but i could really go either way

Id honestly rather go Johnson. Kid realy steped up when boldin was out this season, showed hes got the talent to be a top notch #2 wo. Hard for him to put up numbers behind bolding and fitz, but whenever he was given the oportunity he capitalized. Averaged over 10ypc every year in the league, now obv thats against cb3, s, or possibly even LB if thats how the coverage worked out in the slot, but hes got upside. I think hes def worth a shot.

Something that also plays into that is i dont like drafting wr in the first round. Seen it not pan out way too many times, even more so compared to positions like s, db, rb and dt/de.

But i certainly wouldnt mind geting troupe, id actualy take him over crumpler. Crumpler seems like more of the lower the shoulder and do a good job blocking TE, but ive only seen about 6 atl games over the last couple of seasons. Id rather have a route runner/safety valve for Edwards. Everyones likely to blitz the sh*t out of him b/c of the relative inexperience, that and the quality o line, and it would be good to have a good route running te w quality hands. Actualy think Royal is capable of filling the role.

I gota say this alredy seems like the best offseason the bills have had in the new millenium, used to geting rid of great players instead of geting them. u agree?
