Omar Khan longtime Business & Football Administration Coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers, will interview for the vacant Seattle GM job, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com.



Khan, who joined the Steelers in 2001, has served as their chief contract negotiator and capologist in that time, and quite well. Prior to joining the Steelers, Khan was an intern and then a full-time football operations employee of the New Orleans Saints.

Khan, whose name usually comes up in the conversation of a new Bill Cowher staff, has some competition for the Seattle job. Marc Ross of the Giants and John Schneider of the Packers will also interview for the position this week. The new Seattle GM will have control of the roster, whether the new coach is Pete Carroll of USC or John Fox of the Carolina Panthers.


The Seahawks will also interview former Titan GM Floyd Reese for their vacant post.

Reese drafted Steve McNair, Eddie George, and Jevon Kearse with the Titans. On the other hand, he felt Pac Man Jones was worthy of the sixth overall pick in 2005

Losing Khan would definitely be a blow to the Steelers.

yep the ncaa Infractions committee will meet Feb. 19-21 to address what investigators uncovered at USC. According to typical NCAA procedures, if sanctions are necessary, they will be determined and then made public via a news conference within six to eight weeks of the February hearing.

really no lose situation. He falls flat on his face he at least has a reputation in college ranks to land a solid job there relatively easy. From what I heard he is getting a boat load of cash.
