I guess they were desperate with Campbell out for the year but 2 1st round picks is a lot for Palmer

second 1st rounder is conditional- if raiders win a playoff game

still a lot for a 32 yr old qb but if I were a raider fan, at least my squad is going for all the marbles

KEN O'BRIEN
RAIDERS LOVE TO THROW DEEP,PALMER CAN DO IT.

Palmer has not been idle. He has been working out in California with former Jets QB Ken O'Brien, according to ESPN. Among his workout partners was former Bengals wideout T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

I'd almost rather play Pryor than Palmer with his Chad Pennington like post-elbow surgery arm.

still think it was the better move. Who else would they have gotten?

Coming in mid season after a year off and the injuries to the offense (remember he never got to play with McFadden who was always a week away from coming back) they finished 8-8.

Next year will be interesting. Start Pryor? Bring back Campbell as starter? Give Palmer the full offseason with the team?

how was it a good move in any sense?

they mortgaged a ton to win this year and they failed

they could have started just about anyone, and not gave up 1st round picks

desperate move

Agree....who cares about how the Raiders did or didn't screw up. They always find a way to lose. The Bengals on the other hand came out way ahead and have great building blocks for an already youthful team. Great move by Cincy.
