I dont think the Jets will win, but their defense is rolling so i expect them to keep it close..

20-16 sounds about right

8 is too many points. Unless Sanchez turns it over a bunch of times, the Chargers won't cover that.

Nice win for the Jets and their defense, but game planning for the Chargers is whole new story. Cincy is conservative and has no one on offense to game plan for except Ocho (Revis does that) and Benson a bit, but you can load up against that. Chargers have multiple weapons and a QB that can get them the ball. SD covers, wins by minimum of 10.

Heh, we'll see. The Jets weakness on defense, if they have one, is that without Jenkins in there, they are vulnerable to a power running game. The Chargers running game is rather pedestriant this year. No passing game has truly torched the Jets defense. I think you are underestimating the Jets' secondary a bit. Also, the Chargers can't stop the run without Jamal Williams . . . not exactly the best scenario for playing the Jets. It will be a one score game.

true, but why negate the value you are getting on the Jets. Its not like you are putting +8 on a scrub team against the chargers. if you lose, you consider it a good investment that was lost.

I'm a homer, but I think this Charger team is something special. Won a handful of games this year they wouldn't have won in years past. A sign the team is ready to finally take the next step. No doubt the Jets have the best D in the league, but the Chargers may have the best offense. I really think Sanchez had it easy last week. I couldn't believe how open some of his targets were.

I agree. I do respect your predictions. I still recall you having a future on the Tennessee Titans back in '06 that looked very strong there when they went on a roll with vince young and no one expected it, or something like that, right?

With that being said. I also do respect the chargers and think they are great. I just like giving rjb a rough time b/c this teams success is not because of Philip Rivers, its been a collaborative effort, and hes a small piece of it. I like that whole charger team, just hate Rivers, and I will love to see the Ravens ruin Rivers' super bowl hopes in the afc champ game.

One could compare this spread similar to the Chargers home playoff opener versus Titans two years ago. Pretty sure Chargers were -9 or so. Chargers covered fairly easily. The titans team of that year and Jets team of this year are similar in their philosophies and it seems Chargers do very well against the pound the ball/defensive teams.

Yea right look at games they played top offenses. They gave up a ton of yards. Indy would have been in the 30's with Peyton in the whole game
