Chargers games not sold out...Blackouts possible

Southern California's only NFL team is having a hard time selling out its games because of the slow economy.

The San Diego Chargers are warning fans that local television blackouts are likely for the two home exhibition games and possibly for some regular-season games.

"I think we're concerned about all eight regular-season games," chief operating officer Jim Steeg said Thursday. "None of those at this moment are close to being sold out."

Perfect example of how a billionaire's mind operates: His team isn't selling out every game. He estimates his profits will not be 100 million dollars, quite possibly only 90 million dollars this year.

His reaction is to blow the franchise to kingdom come by cutting off it's life line, which is to forfeit it's television contract and ultimately file bankruptcy.

Reminds me of what it's like having to limit a baby to his candy.

Would our government destroy the World Trade Center just because it failed to make expected profits?
