Exclamation The Chargers Picking Philip Rivers over Drew Brees in '06..

is looking like they got Ryan Leaf instead of Peyton Manning again!

At the time it was the right move and hard to compare now

as for Rivers ONE bad season, this year, hes playing hurt and his OLine sucks

as for Brees success, which is much more prevalent since leaving at New Orleans

Sean Payton develops players better than even Belicheck, best in the league

Im not a Rivers fan, but hes much better than you give him credit

pretty obvious you have some sort of bias...

I think Brees is better, but hard to make this comparison

Even the Dolphins turned him away

Blame the GM. The begining of their demise is when they let Shotty go.

trading schottenheimer (who sucks in the playoffs) for turner (who sucks all the time) was another example of them getting leaf instead of manning. maybe one of these years they will finally make the right choice but I wouldn't bet on it.

yeah Rivers aint bad he's playing hurt and misisng throws that he usally makes in his sleep ! Norv turner one hell of nice guy BUT is an all time team wrecker HE takes quailty teams and turns them into garabge in two years !

WENT to Redskins who had boat load of talent was maybe 3 key players away from making a super bowl run then gets kicked out of wash Goes to raiders makes a contending team non contending sure enough now in San diego worse and worse every year

BUT put the blame on GM and president and owner they have no clue on building chemistry and YOUR Chargers will never be in a superbowl again as long as they have same guys running the team at TOP ! It's posin that drips down onto the field and this is why Chargers ATS record equals the COLTS 2-9 ATS and that will be 3-9 after MNF

BTW BREES would be bust in San Diego also that was just pure destiny he got to NEW AWLENS Sean Peyton is disciple of Parcells and Bellichick and GETS the Best out of all his players NO QB would succede IN San Diego THE Best in the Laegue would look medicore there TOM brady would be a bust Aron rodgers would look worse than Joe Flacco , Ben Rothlisberger wouldnt ever see a super bowl , San diego deserves a QB like maybe Bruce Gradowski or other busts in the league JON Kitna type i'm talking about !

IF Philip Rivers played on teams like THE Ravens or Jaguars even YOU would see much better performance from him !
