Chargers v Jaguars is battle of underachievers
Two teams who right now are running on empty – the Jaguars finally lost enough games to end the Jack Del Rio era and it will be a surprise if the Norv Turner reign in San Diego doesn’t come to a conclusion soon. The season promised so much for the Chargers but once again they look like coming up short and with the amount of talent that they have on their roster a 4-7 record is just not acceptable.
Jacksonville lack the talent that San Diego boast but they finally pulled the plug on Del Rio last week. Having gone three consecutive years without a winning season, he was probably living on borrowed time. Their record this year is 3-8 and they average just 12.5 points per game – an NFL low. In addition to firing Del Rio, the Jaguars also underwent a change of ownership, meaning that there have been two significant changes at one of the league’s youngest franchises.
