Dude retires after one season? Anyone know how that works exactly as far as his contract goes? Does he get paid?

My guess is, he cant handle the rigors of being a football player OR he last his passion for the game. But this did surprise me, when its after 1 season, unbelievable.

third round pick. doubt they had much guaranteed money into him. will only get paid for seasons he completed.

if for some reason they did have a lot of gtd money you can bet they will be trying to get some back. I think in NFL you have to be in the season for 5 years to get pension so hopefully whatever reason for leaving it was worth it.

Red flags are popping up all around this organization. They have two players leave camp in a week in Coffee and Balmer. The key to your 34 defense, the nose tackle, refuses to sign his franchise tender. And your GM gets fired for disappearing weeks before the draft then signs on with a division rival in Seattle.

Could all be coincidence but it could also be a sign that the hard ass Singletary approach is wearing thin real quick in an age where players are making multi-millions and are much softer than they were in 1985 when Singletary and the Bears dominated under Ditka and Ryan.

They are expected to walk away with the cupcake NFC West but there is definitely a stench lingering over the Bay and the colors are red and gold instead of the usual silver and black.

This is good info and if he is looking to get into the Ministry then I guess I wont call him out. He knows better if his heart isn't in it & if it isn't, you dont want to be playing football thats for sure.
