Post Colts backers thread only, all others FUK OFF!!

Just kidding about the "FUK OFF" guys

Believe in the Blue- Go Colts

The Colts are 7-1 ATS on the road this year, and having been in the big game before has to give them an edge. The New Orleans defense is suspect and gave up tons of ground in their playoff game vs Minnesota. Vikings turnovers saved the Saints in that one, and that actually has been a pattern for the Saints all season. Super Bowls have been very competitive matchups in recent years, and the NFC team has exceeded expectations the last couple years. In 2009 the AFC team won 37 of the 64 games against the NFC, but only covered 29 of those.

Indy’s Peyton Manning hasn’t always played great in the postseason, but this year he was solid against Baltimore, and downright god-like against the Jets. Manning is trying to win this second Super Bowl ring, and he certainly has the offensive firepower to get it done. The defense is very fast and underrated. The biggest problem is star defensive-end Dwight Freeney (ankle) is questionable.

New Orleans (15-3 SU, 9-9 ATS) stumbled down the stretch in the regular season, going 0-3 straight-up and ATS. They did play great in a 45-14 blowout of Arizona in the divisional round, but were lucky to beat Minnesota (31-28) in overtime last game.

People are saying that Indy will win because Manning won’t let the opportunity slip by to name him the best quarterback ever.

The reason the Colts will win if they have the better all-around defense, regardless of Freeney, and they should get a touchdown-plus victory.

( Football Trends )

Not really trends per se, but interesting. When Dallas Clark catches a touchdown pass Indianapolis is 19-1 SU the last three years. The last three quarterbacks to complete 70 or more percent of their passes during the regular season went on to win a Super Bowl, can you say Drew Brees.

MY PLAY: COLTS-4.5

almost forgot these Prop Plays: found this

I could see this number climbing (and it’s already been inflated) so I think we’re getting tremendous value. I think it closes 310.5 or 310.5 o-130 or maybe even over -140.Trust me, the public is going to pound this prop over for the next few days and by Sunday, we’re going to have a very solid bet.
The Saints rank 26th against the pass, but lets remember that they blew out teams during the season and those teams had to throw to get back in games. Lots of those yards were against soft zones and prevent defenses. Regardless, they only gave up only 235.5 passing yards a game. And that’s far below our number.
Manning is more than capable of lighting it up against anyone, just look at what he did against a very good Jets defense two weeks ago, but this bet is more to do with the Colts running game vs the Saints interior defense.
I think the Colts have a big edge here and will look to exploit it. Saints are a very aggressive defense, they bring 5 and 6 man blitzs and they can be susceptible to big run plays. Also, to slow down those types of defenses and to protect your QB, running the ball is a must.
I expect Peyton to audible to some stretch plays as well as runs between the tackles.Wait to bet this one late, it can only go way up from here.

Peyton Manning under 308.8 yrds passing..

found these: Scotts P. Prop Plays

FREE Prop Bets

First 1st Down of the game by pass or rush? Rushing (+160) - Everybody waiting for a passing happy game so the run will catch them off guard.

Team to call first timeout? Saints (-115) - Less experience.

First coaches challenge? Saints (-115) - Colts will tend to more conservative with their challenges.

Team to commit the first turnover? No Turnover 8:1 - Like the odds value here.

Team to have the most punts int he game? Colts (+120) - Expect them to potentially be more conservative.

Team to have the longest kickoff return? Saints (-150) - Reggie Bush may get a shot or two.

Team to have the longest punt return? Saints (+100) - Again the Reggie Bush factor.

Total punts by both teams? OVER 7.5 (+100) - Like the lower number with the perception of plenty of offense - we agree but 8 punts isn't many.

Total 3rd down conversions by both teams? OVER 10.5 (-150) - The way the Colts move the ball they may get this many on their own.

Longest FG int he game? OVER 43.5 (-110) - Like the big legs in this game.

Will the Colts score more in the first or second half? 1st Half +0.5 (-125) - Quick starting behind Manning.

Will the Colts score in every quarter? Yes (+130)

Alternate Total 44.5? OVER (-400)

Will the Saints score a 1st quarter TD? YES (+110)

Some fun ones....

How many times will CBS show Archie Manning during the game? OVER 3 (-150)

How many times will CBS show Tony Dungy during the game? OVER 1.5 (-125)

Will CBS show a replay of Tom Benson celebrating the missed FG vs Tampa Bay? YES (+350)
