Cowboys sign QB Bollinger
IRVING, Texas (Ticker) -- The Dallas Cowboys signed quarterback Brooks Bollinger on Monday.

The move, widely expected since last week, was confirmed on the Dallas Morning News' web site, which reported that he received a $40,000 signing bonus and a prorated one-year deal worth $569,411.

Released by Minnesota on August 30, Bollinger previously played for the Vikings and New York Jets during his four-year career. He started nine games for New York in 2005 and once last year for Minnesota.

The 28-year-old quarterback visited the Cowboys' team facilities last week but did not sign until Monday, meaning his base salary is not guaranteed for the full season.

In four years in the NFL since the Jets drafted him out of Wisconsin in the sixth round of the 2003 draft, Bollinger completed 58.6 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions. In Dallas, he will be the team's third-string quarterback behind Tony Romo and veteran Brad Johnson.

trossi i dont think we have to worry though... we all know romo is one tough son of a bitch... maybe the toughest QB ever to play.
