Cushing keeps ROY award??

What a joke. Thanks AP for the message being sent down. I just can't believe fuking writers are being allowed to vote. This should be a player or coach vote. Disgrace!!!

Funny how if this was baseball the writers would be hammering him. I didn't think there should be a revote but can't believe he still won

it's a joke

The biggest joke is that one writer Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette changed his vote from Jarius Byrd TO Brian Cushing to protest the re opening of the vote.

If you disagree with the reopening of the vote, that's one thing, but to change it a guy who's proven to cheat is ridiculous

The funny thing is to me and they just talked about this on "Mike and Mike" is the different standards for football and baseball. If this had happend for the MLB Rookie of the Year, I don't think there's any doubt the guy would have lost the award for sure and may not have received any votes.

In football, I guess it's ok to do that, because of the nature of the game. If it's wrong, it's wrong, no matter what sport it is.

There is no way I would have kept my vote for Cushing after finding that out.

I think John Clayton said it best today. He said he had to change his vote because he felt Cushing should have been suspended for 4 games this past season. If you take out 4 games of stats from his stat line and overall performance, no way is he rookie of the year. That was all he needed to change his vote even if you overlook the PED violation.

You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.” ---Jim Valvano
