Cutler / Orton trade - End of yr. 1

I might catch some flack for this but even after the "bad" year that you guys think Cutler had, I think the Bears got the better of this deal STILL...

Bears have NEVER had a QB with this type of talent, leadership, arm strength, etc... We've been through 16-17 different QB's in the time Favre was with GB. I believe Cutler will be a consistant NFC pro-bowler. Despite finishing the year with 27 TD's and 26 INT's, the receiving core for the Bears was the absolute WORST in the NFL. Our best WR was cut from the Colts in pre-season, LMAO. Ron Turner, the OC is in the process of being fired, was horrible in calling plays that fitted to the offensive strengths. The O-Line played like shit. Cutler made some questionable throws that were picked early, later on in the season he started throwing some of those balls away and finished the season strong with 10 TD passes and 2 INT's.

Meanwhile, if you ask any Bears fan about Orton, we'll tell you he SUCKS. We were all suprised to see the Bronoco's open up 6-0 and we all had to hear the bullchit "all he does is win!" "he's a winner" , etc. No, Orton is garbage. Good leader and locker guy absolutely. I had a great chuckle yesterday watching Orton fail miserably and the Bronc's fall out of the playoffs.

lol cutler having leadership

even if you say orton sucks, broncos can use one of their many draft picks on a QB. Bears lose.

Even if true, that means bronco's submitted this season before it even began. Grooming a rookie QB takes time ....

how can you can laugh at orton failing yesterday when cutler is like 0-5 in playoff-clinching games?

Some Donkey's fans actually thought Orton was a good QB. Fact that they thought he could win them anything was funny.

Yes I realize Cutler has struggled in the big game, and hasn't been able to win one. Cutler is still very raw, he likes to throw balls into window's that aren't there. (As evident by him throwing so many INT's this yr) He will continue to develop and become a perennial pro-bowler. I would be willing to bet that.

365 days? Bisket will bump this in week 1 when cutler throws 4 picks. Lol.

J/k.

I've defended Cutler in the past but I'm not sure he can ever be that pro bowler.

I say the Broncos and Bears missed the boat, they should have pulled off a scheme to land Philip Rivers somehow. That guy is amazing.

How you can defend someone who threw 26 ints had a qb rating of 76 and most importantly had ANOTHER losing record is beyond me. And look at who those 7 wins were against Cleveland, Seattle, Lions(2), St Louis, Pitt by a fg who was obv down this year, and Minn in OT which they almost blew the game. Guy has proven nothing, until his does, he deserves 0 praise

He did look pretty good last Monday night in OT. If performances like that becomes the norm, then he'll be OK.

Cutler looked good the last two games. He has found a new connection with Devin Arshsomething. We know he'll throw the picks, but it's how the offensive like looks next year. Getting Orlando "blueberry pancake" Pace out of there was a huge step.
