If Brian Mitchell is not in Hester is not getting in. Unless he keeps doing this for another 5 years at this level then maybe. JMO

If every team has to alter their plan of attack because of 1 player, then that 1 player is something special and unique and deserves to be in the Halll...

If they keep kicking to him...he will definitely be a HOFer.

Lol, he would never get in. Mitchell, Tasker, Ray Guy all in before him on ST

No disrespect, but to compare him to Brian Mitchell is laughable...

Agreed. Hester is so much better than any other kick returner ever to play the game and yes, I do think he's a HOFer because he takes over games like no other special teams player ever has.

Brian Mitchell? Serious? Great player but nothing compared to Hester. Jmo

Here's what Brian Mitchell said about Hester
NFL playoffs: Brian Mitchell thinks Chicago Bears' Devin Hester belongs in Hall of Fame - ESPN Chicago

BRIAN MITCHELL?!?! You think he's better than Devin Hester. Brian had 13 returns for TD's in 14 seasons (4 on KO's, 9 on PR's), Devin has 16TD's (17 if you include SB XLI in barely his 6th season, 5 on KO's, 11 on PR's). Now Im not saying he is a HOF'er but to say Brian is better than Devin is a little ridiculous.

Was listening to the Dan Patrick show this morning and agreed with what was said on there.

Kick Returners are typically guys not good enough to play at their normal position (be it WR, RB, CB, etc) If they played at their natural position as their only duty, they'd be mediocre at best. The stars of the league don't return kicks because they don't want to risk them being injured, want them to focus on their true skill, etc. Put Chris Johnson back to return kicks as 90% of his job duties for the team and he'll return 40 for TDs over his career.

Maybe you can get in the HOF if you're a top 10 all time returner AND a star at your normal position. Dont know that Hester or Mitchell qualify as that

I would think for sure. He already has the return records and like previously mentioned, game planning around an individual player has some serious value.

My argument to that would be that a closer in baseball isn't a natural position since those guys aren't good enough to be starters yet they get in the HOF.
