Divisional Round Trends

Along comes the Divisional Playoff Weekend and you are tempted by some compelling trends once again.

This weekend has belonged to underdogs the past seven seasons, as the pups are 18-10 ATS in 28 games . Not surprisingly, that underdog trend has translated into a 11-5 ATS run for the road teams, as rested home teams are typically chalk at this time of year.

Beware once again, these trends flipped-flopped last season where Favs went 3-1 ATS.

I'll be back with more later...

Found these "Let the Trend be your Friend"...that might help a bit but normally go 50-50:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. The Baltimore Ravens are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games.

2. The Atlanta Falcons are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

3. The under is 9-3 in Bears last 12 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.

4. The Over is 15-3 in Patriots last 18 games overall.

With the tempatures forcasted to be in the low 30's in Pitt and Foxboro, and the low 20's in Chicago, I can see the unders in 3 games, and maybe all 4. It is harder to hang on to passes with a lot of zip on them when your hands are frozen. I can see a lot of running done in the three cold weather games. Green Bay and Atlanta already played once in the Dome, and 37 points were scored. I can see the same type of game this time around.
