Question does anyone else think...

Brett Favre's plan this whole time was to play for a different team?

EVERYTHING he has done has lead me to believe this to be true.

He set things up and they dropped right in place, he clearly didnt want to be a Packer and him going back to " compete ". Was a bluff in hoping the packers bit, which they did.

EVERYTHING he has done since the Packers last game, has been to enable himself to play for another team.

I guess you would have to assume the whole story about the packers management forcing him out is a lie ?

I would assume that Favre knows management probably better then any other packer player, and how to push thier buttons to get what he wants.

Probably true, but I can't see why he would want out of green bay from the start unless it had to do with management ****ing with him behind the scenes and whatnot. Maybe you can help me with that ?

Favre was quoted saying something like - This team is a longshot to make it back where we were last year.

AND

Why would Favre play for another team? especially after retiring a packer "legend".

the answer is that he didnt just change his mind in the last few days, he has clearly been ok with playing for another team for a long time.

Actions speak much louder then words.

lol you doubt Favre would say something wierd like that?

maybe a greenbay fan can shed some light on what he said, i heard Scott Van Pelt say that he said that so i cant confirm.

But, tell me something that favre has done that would lead you to believe he wanted to comeback as a packer.

if his ACTIONS leading up until right are not pre meditated then he is not only the BIGGEST blowhard in sports history he would also qualify as the dumbest blowhard in history.

maybe he just felt betrayed by packers management in which case he didn't want to return...he's already said they spread some lies about the vikings tampering and then tried to buy him off. of course he probably wouldn't want to go back but back in march or whatever when they had the first conf call about him saying he wanted to come back i have no doubts that he wanted to play for the packers

This 07-08' Packer team choked very bad last year with homefield 1 game away, even the monster cowboy choke job last year or charger one with ne werent nearly as bad 2 games away's then 1. and at historical Lambeau home field ??
Seeing Favre act the way he is now..... do you think Favre blamed himself for that game? lmao

he sabotaged the entire franchise

only allaby is that " he made a mistake (again) and retired too soon." Which would confirm that he is the stupidest and emotionaly not stable person in sports.

You honestly dont think Favre knew what would happen when he tried to comeback ?

I dont buy he was suprised.

In the back of his mind hes been itching to play somewhere else.

-favre gets pissed at young team for ruining his superbowl goodbye show

-so pissed they blew it for him he retires quickly, eratically and emotionaly

-decides he wants to play because he threw 38 td's last year, but F , he would rather go where someone wouldnt ruin his superbowl goodbye

Just him being suprised that the packers were sick of his b.s. attention whore retirement anual, as he was; Would tell me he is definately capeable of all the above.

I have to lean with rjb on this one...

It just makes more sense that managment has pissed him off to the point where he does not want to return... combine that with the respect he has for Rogers as a player knowing his return is ****ing him over as well.

To me those reasons seem to fit the puzzle more than him thinking the packers would drop off this season, and wanting to go to a contender.... I mean seriously... Is there any team out there ( that would be a legitimate player for a farve trade ) thats really that much better off than the packers ? So much of an edge that he would want to be traded out of Green Bay where hes been for eons and have to sign with a new team... move to another state... get use to new players coaches and playbook...

Not sure that makes enough sense to me, but who knows...

I mean what teams would be that much better off with Farve than GB that have shown interest... not many. He also had to know GB wouldn't let him off in the division... I dunno Jahred!
