I'm not sure he lost the team. Players like him overall. Ricky Williams is just lazy. I'm not sure this is a bad thing. Henning is gone, they need a QB regardless.

I didn't necessary disagree with this and never really thought Tony was a bad coach but the way the team played down the stretch was an indication IMO that the players had quit on him, and then reports come and say your gonna pay a coach with know prior experience in the NFL the highest in the NFL has to be a shot in the arm...

I hope your right Jack about this but i'm really 2nd guessing this decision and regardless whether we brought him back or not, who in the world are we gonna bring in to replace Henne....Tony don't have the time to develop a QB outta the draft, he losing 7-8 games next year he is a gone ass....

this is my opinion and I'm just shooting at stars but I really believe the Dolphins make a big run at Vick, especially if Philly loses Saturday against Green Bay...

that would be more dissapointment when they fail & he resigns with Phily. Lol

Yeah they played like shit down stretch last 2 years but the guy looked like a genius coach when Pennington played first year. Actually Henning looked good you then lol.

I don't know what happens at QB but anything better than what we have now.

yeah I guess, I will be fine in a couple days, just feel like we whiffed big time, Cowher says screw u, Gruden turns down 7 mil and I don't know what happened with Harbaugh..

either way the two positions that MUST be filled this offseason are the QB and RB position...would like to see them draft a guy like Ingram in the 1st round, would also like to see them bring in a solid number two on the other side of Marshall....Bess is a great slot reciever but shouldn't be relied on as a number 2...Hartline isnt the answer IMO..

Only coach in the world who can put on his resume that he lost consecutive must-win home games to the Bills and Lions. Without a doubt, such brilliance must be kept on board and not be allowed to escape elsewhere.

Always thought Henning was a moron myself when he scrapped Tom Moore's 3 WR/1 TE sets and tried to run Barry with a fullback in front of him and 2 TE on the line.

Barry needed more room to run, not less and this fool thought he was Okoye or something.

Not fair to say Hartline isn't the answer. He's really young and has shown time and time again that he can get deep and make catches. I think the Dolphins WR corps is set as it is. However....

The big thing people don't seem to notice is that their OL was decimated this season. Long was at 70% for most of the 2nd half of the season and other than the surprise play of Incognito, everyone else on the OL was either hurt, inexperienced, or just played badly. This makes Ricky & Ronnie look really bad, which then kept defenses out of the 8-man fronts they constantly faced last year.

I do think Henne and the new OC must be willing to open up the offense somewhat. We don't use Brandon Marshall properly - we should be throwing at least 3-4 deep balls to him every game. Henne just appears to lock in on a WR and stare him down.

Honestly, if we drafted some OL, got an aggressive coordinator, and traded for Kyle Orton - I think that would be a step in the right direction.
