Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins

Buffalo came off their bye with a big 23-14 win over San Diego last Sunday. Miami was dominated 27-13 by Baltimore last week.

Buffalo's offense isn't putting up huge numbers but is averaging 25 points-per-game. While they want to run the ball, there will be opportunities to pass against a defense that allows 235 yards-per-game through the air. RBs Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson have combined for 36 catches and should do well against the 3-4 defense of Miami. The Bills need to be aware of OLB Joey Porter, who has already garnered 8 ˝ sacks this season. Look for them to give their OTs help to contain him.

Miami's offense has featured the 'Wildcat' offense on occasion but it was stuffed last week (4 yards on 5 plays). The Dolphins need their ground game to be successful but the Bills defense has vastly improved vs. the run this season. Look for RBs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams to get lots of chances to establish the run early. QB Chad Pennington has been a decent manager this season but doesn't possess the arm to scare defenses.

The Bills have owned this matchup since 2004 (8-0 ATS, 7-1 SU - a 1-point loss) and want to keep their momentum. The Dolphins have been exciting this season but we think the passing game of Buffalo and the lack of a consistent passing game from Miami will determine the outcome of this contest.

Wiz's call:Buffalo-2

Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles (tease action)

Atlanta is coming off a bye after a thrilling last-second win over Chicago. Philadelphia is also coming off their bye after a big win at San Francisco.

The Falcons are averaging 163 yards-per-game on the ground and look for them to pound the ball against the smallish D-Line of the Eagles. QB Matt Ryan has held up well as a rookie but will be tested by this defense. Philadelphia DC Jim Johnson will send several waves of blitzers against the rookie and he'll have to make quick judgments. When he faces these situations he will have WR Roddy White in man coverage and that could pay dividends as White is an ascending star. Ryan has been sacked only seven times this season but faces a defense that has totaled 21.

Philadelphia's offense could be at full strength for the first time this year as WR Kevin Curtis makes his first appearance and RB Brian Westbrook will return to the lineup. This gives QB Donovan McNabb a full complement of weapons against a defense that hasn't allowed more than 24 points in a game (1 of only 5 teams to do that). The key for the defense will be keeping Westbrook in check on the ground and for DE John Abraham (7 sacks) to get consistent pressure on McNabb.

Philadelphia has won the last five matchups in this series but we expect a tougher game for them this week. Atlanta is a far superior team to last season and their ability to run the ball should keep them in this matchup.
I like Philly to win this game, but!! It should be a close one perhaps,so I will tease..

Arizona at Carolina

Panthers' offense and quarterback Jake Delhomme should have a good day against the Cardinals weak secondary. The Cardinals are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games.
NFL | ARIZONA at CAROLINA
Play Against - Underdogs or pick (ARIZONA) with a poor scoring defense - allowing 24 or more points/game, after scoring 30 points or more last game
34-11 over the last 5 seasons. ( 75.6% | 21.9 units )
2-1 this year. ( 66.7% | 0.9 units )

NFL | ARIZONA at CAROLINA
Play Against - Road teams vs. the money line (ARIZONA) excellent passing team (>=7.3 PYA) against a good passing team (6.7-7.3 PYA), after allowing 7 or more passing yards/attempt last game
29-15 since 1997. ( 65.9% | 0.0 units )

Oakland at Baltimore (tease action)

Raiders improving, but slowly and the Ravens tough at home. Tempting to take the points but can't trust the Raiders on a long trip after a tough game.
Washington at Detroit

Good line value here as mis-leadingly so the Lions have hung around games on the scoreboard lately but they are still getting beaten badly on the stat sheets. Washington should be another team to open the margin and after recent let downs don't expect them to let up and let Detroit back in.

Wiz's call:RedsKins-7.5

total early card:

Washington-7.5
Buffalo-2
Philly-3/ Baltimore-3 (tease)
Washington-1.5/Carolina (pk)
