New York Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings (Being played in Detroit @ Ford Field)
This is a very interesting game. I truly believe that the weather problems, that postponed the game to tonight, was a blessing in disguise for the G-Men. Let me first start by saying that I try and put my feelings aside when I pick games that include my favorite sports teams, in fact I usually stay away from these games. However, tonight is a different story. Let me list some reasons for my pick for tonights game. One, Brett Favre will not be playing. I know that Favre hasn't been playing well this whole season, but if you ask me to pick a game and Favre could be playing or not, I'm going to pick the game where he is not playing. Two, statistically the Giants seem to play better on turf when the are playing away from the new Meadowlands. Three, due to the delay in the game, the Giants already know that the Eagles won last night, so they need to win tonight to stay tied for first place in the division. Four, Giants are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings against Minnesota in the Metrodome, but like I said earlier, due to weather problems, this game is being played in Detroit. I see the Giants defensive front 4 taking over this game from the first snap. Tavaris Jackson is a bum, to put it nicely and with that the Giants can focus in on stopping Adrian Peterson and the Vikings rushing attack. This game will be close for the first two quarters, but in the second half the Giants take over BIG TIME!! Lay the points tonight and take the Giants (-5)
