Favre reinstatement

If that Puke Ted Thompson doesn't accept Favre back as the starter I will be done with the packers after being a life long fan. This situation is a joke. Rodgers is dog shit. The man has done nothing in his entire career besides get hurt, and throw a couple of slant passes against the cowboys after the game was already over with. The fact that Ted Thompson refuses to allow a QB competition shows that Favre was right about his lies and deception from the beginning. Thompson is a pussy ego maniac who wants all the credit for last years success. In what rational world would the MVP runner up from last season and greatest quarterback of all time be told that the organization has "moved on"? The press conference with TT this week was priceless. When asked why no competition for QB ted says, "this is the path we have taken." When pressed for an actual reason, Ted ducked the question. The man should be on his knees blowing favre and begging him to come back. Maybe he can put Justin Harrell in at QB after that candy ass rodgers breaks a nail and is out for the season after the first game.

With how management has treated a living legend, I know hope that Favre is released and can go to the Vikings. I will buy his jersey and be cheering him on opening day when he humiliates his old team at Lambeau. That cock sucker ted thompson will be fired halfway through the season as the 13-3 pack from last year go 8-8 or worse with Rodgers. The real tragedy is that the fake favre fans who were loving him last year are now so ready for him to be gone. I can't wait for Favre to rip your hearts out you spineless cowards.

The man is the greatest ever to play football. Ted Thompson should be dragged out in the street and shot.

If farve would have never retired no one would be going thru all of this. Farve is a glory hound and he is obviousally not a man of his word. If Farve wants to play so bad put him on the Ravens so the Steelers can knock the phuck out of him.

not that I am a conspiracy theorist, but would it surprise anyone if injury-prone Aaron Rodgers magically suffered an injury in training camp (within the next 3-5 days), thereby opening the door for Brett's return without the Pack looking like it backed down ?

Save this post--it is going to happen.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Steel - you never changed your mind before?

If Green Bay doesn't think Favre is worth a shit, then just release him. If he can't play anymore, why do they care of he goes to Minnesota?

Maybe one of the defensive guys who wants Favre back will take him out. lol

IMO he's not the glory hound u make him out to be. Football has ruled his life the last 16+ years and he happens to be very good at it.
I'm certainly not about to knock the guy for having trouble saying goodbye. For the record if he does see time this season I still have more faith in him than at least 50% of other starting QB's in the league.

This was in the local paper here today. Thought it was pretty interesting take on things. Gannon is good friends with Mike McCarthy, the Green Bay coach and has worked with Tavaris Jackson also so he can see it from both sides

The Vikings would be better off with Tarvaris Jackson at quarterback than Brett Favre, at least for the first six weeks of the season.
That's the opinion of Rich Gannon, the former Vikings QB who was the NFL's most valuable player with the Oakland Raiders. He is now the Green Bay Packers' exhibition season TV analyst and a regular-season NFL analyst for CBS.
Gannon has briefly consulted with Jackson the past two springs.
"With all the facts that are out there, certainly they (Vikings) would be better off with Tarvaris the first six, eight weeks of the season," Gannon said Tuesday.
"I'm telling you, it's going to be tough on (Favre). People can scale back for him, simplify things, take things out of their offense, put things in they know he knows ... it would take a lot of tweaking, maneuvering for one guy. Is that something they want to do?"
Favre turns 39 in October. "And keep this in mind," Gannon added. "Do you go all the way and sign a guy like Brett Favre, or trade for him or do whatever, and he plays one year for you? Or he comes in and gets a groin (injury) or hamstring because he hasn't been part of the program. And then he gets off to a slow start and all of a sudden he plays one year, and then it's 'that wasn't fun for me anymore.' And that's what's going to happen, I think."

saw Rich Gannon's name the other day. NFL gives no punishment to Marshawn Lynch for running someone over with his car and then fleeing the scene, but Rich Gannon, who purchased HGH with a doctor's prescription for his diabetes, he gets fined $100,000 by the NFL (and I think he was suspended too)

what would be great would be rodgers getting hurt after the packers traded favre...i dont care for favre, but would be pretty funny that they could have had a starting qb of future hof status and settled for a guy who suffered a season ending injury in training camp...and now are left with like no options and probably will try to persuade don majowski to come out of retirement since they let one dude in retirement get away

He has retired 3 times. Hell yes I have changed my mind and not always for the better. He said this year that he wanted to come back before the draft. Then the Packers said, come back then Brett. His reply, no I want to stay retired so the Pack move on and then after the draft and the change to their offense he decides to come back. If he wanted to come back he should have come back the first time he asked not after he put the Greenbay Packers in a no win situation. Brett is not bigger then the team or the game. His timing is totally messed up and ""HE" is the one that put both parties in this spot. Brett Farve is not a man of his word and all this drama is no one's fault but his own. I hope he comes back and breaks both his legs. That way he can whine and cry to the nurses. People need to be held accountable its just that easy.
