Fed11 Season long nfl posts

Small timer here took me some time to realize I don't have to bet more than I can to have fun.
I am going to post my entire 2009 NFL season including post season in here.

Steelers +3
Just think that the Steelers have more depth. Batch is coming off a broken collar bone and Dixon will get 200+ snaps this preseason some nice competition. In addition Wallace is pushing Sweed into the receiver the Steelers hoped for when they drafted him. Not to mention Redman and Summers fighting it out for goal line duties, Moore coming back from an injury and Parker and Medenhall looking for carries in a solid backfield.
As always just my two sense. Play or fade

RECAP for Saturday: 1-1

tough one for the Steelers was at that game. Burnett fumbling the punt on the 18 was the decider here. Did not cover but felt that I was on the right side. The Bears looked good and gave me a split for the day, down the vig.
Probably won't bet another preseason game but who knows.

this on jumped off the page at me. had to lay -120 but I believe NE will easily cover this game at Washington Friday night. I was at the game in Md. last week to watch the Steelers a game the Steelers very easily could have won. I know you cap preseason much different than the regular season but here are my reasons in no particular order:

1. Brady is out to prove a statement this year and will get some significant time this game. Brady is coming off a 4-8 57 yd game. I believe he goes back to the Phily game numbers 10-15 100 yds 2 tds and a int.

2. Washington is not that good. Campbell is still struggling. Zorn continues to take Portis out in the red zone where Cooley is double covered and Betts gets his .5 yd/ carry.

3. This game just jumped out at me. Sometimes you have to listen to your gut.

As always play or fade.

fading Bret Favre. I know he has a flair for the dramatics last week the Monday night after his father passed away but he is 40 years old or soon to be. It seems like many services are on Minny I will take the 5 points and hope for an outright win for 2 units. FADE AWAY!

tough one last night was hoping for that back door cover but to no avail. Congrats Minny backers.

1 unit Carolina -3.5 over Washington. Did not buy the half pt waiting to see what this line does. Live right outside DC and this Redskins team is just not that good. I did not think Carolina was going to the Super Bowl but an extra week to get ready for this game seems huge to me. Tampa was running the ball last week C. Williams 16/77 average 4.8 and the team on the whole 4.3 yards per carry. This is against a team on the road with a qb getting his first start in the nfl, DeAngelo at home may run wild.
As stated want to see what the line will do this week. any thoughts?

Putting my stuff in early this week and adding Ten +3.5 (-105). the public has to lose one of these prime time games sooner or later. Love Tenn 0fer at home getting 3.5 and little juice, fading the public here and hoping Ten can keep it within a fg.
1 unit Ten +3.5

well another crappy Sunday on my end
1-2

Pittsburgh 346 more net yards.
Chicago has 123 more net yards, more rushing yards, more passing yards, more first downs but dumb as penalties and fumbles.

I am going with Denver tonight for 1.5 units tonight. FADE AWAY and make some money.

I will give it another go next week and leaning towards 10 units on Philadelphia. Don't really care what the spread is can not see Philadelphia putting up anything less than 35 on the Redskins and I do not care who is calling the plays in Landover, MD Monday night the Skins will be embarrassed.

Feel like I am starting to figure some things out going 2-2 last week. Still feel Pit and Chicago were the right sides that is why it is called gambling.

Week 7
3 units Love Dallas (-4 +105 Bodog) in this spot. Dallas off the bye and Atlanta off a nice win Sunday night under the spotlight. However Atlanta was out gained by Chicago in all categories rushing, passing and special teams. Home game for the Cowboys and with the everyone else in the NFC East losing last week Dallas is the play

1 unit Chicago (+1.5 Bodog) see above about Chicago. Could have should have blah, blah, blah last week against Atl. Forte fumbling on the goal line and O Pace false start on a fourth and inches at the end of the game were huge mistakes that cost Chicago an opportunity to win or at least cover the game. For full disclosure I am a Steelers fan and hate Cincy but went against them last week and just feel Cincy is playing over their head and facing a Chicago team in a must win situation.

8 units Philly (-7 Bodog) I live in the DC area and the Redskins are a mess. The line seems low to me but I guess it would be 10-11 at Philly. Sherm Lewis is taking over play calling duties; he has been w/ the Skins for 2 weeks previously he was out of football 4 years. Ask Joe Gibbs how that worked out. Play calling is not the issue in DC the O line is a mash unit, their receivers suck and Clinton take away the 78 yd run (mind you the Skins got a field goal off that run) and he has 31 yards. Wow! Recap Washington scoring this season and Phiily
week 1 17 @ Gaints 38 @ Panthers
week 2 9 vs Rams 22 vs NO
week 3 14 @ Det 34 vs KC
week 4 16 vs TB Bye
week 5 17 @ Panthers 33 vs TB
week 6 6 vs KC 9 @ Raiders
average 79/6=13.1 pts/game 136/5=27.2/game

This seems to easy to me. I would appreciate someone telling me how Washington has a shot. I know it is the NFL and any team can win ie last week Oakland but those are the exceptions not the rule.
FADE AWAY and you will be golden

Finally a good week to speak off. 2-1 +9.9 units.

Try to keep this going.
2 units B'more -3 (120) Bodog: can Denver handle success? Big wins, NE then SD then a week to read how great you are. B'more still bitter that they lost to Minny two weeks ago and I have the upmost respect for what the Broncos have done but they are not going undefeated. May add to in the week

Love Giants 4 unit type of game. Giants losing 2 in a row and Philly showed me nothing Monday night. Waiting to get a line and will repost Thursday or so.
