Fox still sticking with Delhomme

What does the mall think on this one?

He is 34 years old.
He is fresh off the worst NFL Playoff game in history throwing 5 INTs against the Cardinals.
Then the Carolina Panthers go on ahead and offer him a contract extension back in April.
A very rewarding $42.5 million, with $20 million guaranteed.
He now has the Panthers off to an 0-3 start.
Carolina Panthers fans probably have that, "when is jake going to screw up," feeling when watching games.
Now Fox has a chance to bench him deep in the bench, however they are sticking with him.

To me, it seems obvious that Jake is still feeling the aftershocks from being romped by the Cardinals last season. Kinda like when Brad Lidge got bashed by Albert Pujols in the playoffs. It took an entire new team for Lidge to recover. I feel the same here about Delhomme. He might be good again somewhere. However, I dont think it can happen with the Panthers. He is too old and I just think he will always have that mental block in his head.

What do you guys think?

the defense is bad and they cant stop the run

delhomee also hasnt played as bad as people think

well he hasnt played great either

his receivers and the rest of the team are giving up on him though

its easy to see

the panthers can try a new QB but I dont think it changes a thing

I said 7-9 before the season, now it looks more like 5-11

Maybe we can draft AJ Green best receiver in college football

steve smith is growing impatient, he wants to win

panthers havent had a decent #2 option at receiver for years

a run stopper in the middle to replace Maeatu would be ncie too

I agree 100%. I love how when a team plays like shit, which Carolina has, everyone points the finger at the QB. Good god, look at Julius Peppers.... Do I really need to elaborate on that any further?

The run defense allowed 200 some odd yards to Dallas WITHOUT Marion Barber.

Jake played two 1/2 decent weeks. Lets try not to be too ignorant, there are 53 players on a team.

I just have a feeling Delhomme screwing up is going to be a common theme the rest of the season.

Having 5INTs in the playoffs like he did last season is not something you just bounce back from.

It's time to move on. Fox will be fired anyway so its really a moot point. All the pieces are in place except QB and WR to some extent.

I don't understand why Carolina can't be a force. They have a two headed monster, a big play receiver, and a respectable defense that would be even better with an offense helping them. There are so many QB's who can come in and manage a game. Carolina doesn't need Jake to win games yet it seems every week that's what they try and do and he just tosses INT's left and right.

May as well leave the team together at the end of the season. Fox has ruined his Rep as a coach following this loser.

Whatever happened to the kid from Oregon State who came in for some games either last year or the year before. He seemed to fit really well with that offense?

what other choices do they have. Garcia is not the answer and Moore is still unproven. Stick with Jake. I also agree with all need a number 2
