Funkbunker 2011 NFL
Week one is always a strange capping week. We don't know as much about teams as we will, but I always tend to bet on games where I have a hunch one way or the other about how good/bad a team really is and hope Vegas' line doesn't reflect that just yet...if that makes any sense. If you're right about those picks, you generally get good-to-great value on your lines. If not, well... Anyway, on to week 1
1 Unit - Pitt pk (+105) -- Pitt is a little old on D, but Ravens have shook up that team a bit. I think later in the year the Ravens could win the rematch, but I expect Pitt to be healthy and in mid-season form while Baltimore still works to establish an identity. .5 unit - Rams +4 -- The same way I don't expect Baltimore to "establish their identity" this early, I expect same from Philly, especially on that O line. In the dome, with a loud pumped up stadium of fans doesn't help things. I think Rams win outright 1 unit Tennessee +2 1/2 -- Tenn is my sleeper team this year. Oh, and 2 words, Josh McCown. Guy threw 15 passes all preseason. 1 Unit - Redskins + 3 (-115) -- Giants are super banged up. I like year 2 of Shanahan and the Redskins, thinking they might be a sneaky good ATS team. 1 unit - Denver -3 - Just my gut. Oakland has too many new parts. Good luck to everyone this season, let's get it.

Looking for a better week 2--week 1 kicked my ass
1 unit - Washington - 3.5 Washington and Cinci are 2 teams I'm gunna ride until people pick up on how ATS-coverable (i think) they actually are 1 unit - Tampa/Minn under 41 - 2 very good defensive teams. I'm expecting a grind-it-out type game 2 Units - Miami +135 - I think Houston is overvalued after beating up on a lost & awful Indy team, and Miami, who was undervalued to start the year, is even moreso after the Pats game. Lost in that game was a lot of the positives that team had. I like them to win SU here 1 Unit - Cincinnati 3.5 - Denver has home field dis-advantage with everyone chanting for Tebow. And Cin is the better team 1 Unit - Atlanta 1.5 - I love Atlanta getting points at home, not just today, but always. Sorry for the short write-ups. Busy day ahead. Good luck to everyone and their teams today!
