Started out a sterling 5-2 the first two weeks and have gone a craptastic 0-6 since. Keep this up and the I'm not going to be able to afford any more Tender Vittles for the cats. I'll be eating them myself.

The sages among us tell us when we are on a losing streak, we should cut down on our picks. Screw the sages.

Indianapolis -9 vs Kansas City The voices in my head whisper that I should be taking the undefeated Chiefs and 9 big points. The Bookmakers say the Chiefs don't have a chance. For once, I'm listening to the bookies and figuring if the Colts are going to whoop up on KC, they'll go over too. Soooo.....

Kansas City/Indianapolis OVER 45.5:

Cincinnati -7 vs Tampa Bay: When I first moved to Florida, I discovered I'd developed a very healthy hatred of all things Buccaneer. If that's not a good enough reason to play this side, then the fact that Cincinnati has to be absolutely mortified about losing to Cleveland last week should help. The Bengals in a rout.

Oakland +6 vs San Diego: If Oakland is turning the corner, this is the type of game they need to do well in. Divisional game against the best team in the division, at home.

San Francisco -3 vs Philadelphia: My betting on 49er games is just pure stubbornness. I bet on them, they get crushed, I bet against them, and they cover the number. I'm betting Philly can't score in double digits this week. Sooooo....

Philly/San Francisco UNDER 38 Week 5 and I'm already up to my second under play of the year. I gotta slow down.
