Giants -3, huh?

Can someone please explain this one to me? Being a Giants fan, I'm more than aware of their past ability to play down to any opponent (Browns & Bengals), but after watching them manhandle the Steelers on the road, picking up a huge divisional road win at Philly, and bitch slapping the Ravens around all day this past Sunday I simply don't understand this line. Let down game? Jacobs banged up? Don't care, G-Men get this one done by a TD at least.

Would love some feedback that may open my eyes to something I might be missing.

I agree.

Zona's had a pretty easy ride as of late, playing in that shitty division, with a big lead, and yet coming off close wins to Seattle, SF, and a win over horrible STL. Their one recent loss was to over-rated Carolina. They take a big step-up in opponent this week against probably the leagues best team, only getting a FG (bought hook). I think it shows, and it's a perfect spot for a loss.

Like you say, NYG have had the much harder run lately, with impressive wins over Bal, Phi, Dal & Pit. NYG has the pass defence (ranked #2) to control Zona's only strength, and has the pass rush (4th with 31 sacks) to expose Zona's weakness...namely Warner's mistakes and turnover problems when pressured. Add in NY's steady offence (they absolutely dominated a good Ravens defence for much of the last game), and I have a road win. Travel could be a concern, but the East>West has not nearly been as bad statistically this year as West>East.

GL!

Don't have the numbers in front of me, but even when they stunk the last few years, Zona has been a pretty good play as a home dog

Interested to why you think they can pass on the Giants. NY has the league's second best pass defence, and also gets after the QB. I think Warner has some problems Sunday...JMO

They dominated the Steelers on both sides of the ball for the majority of the game and completely controlled the time of possession. Gave Roethlisgerger fits all day. Steelers were lucky the Giants didn't put up 30+ on them with all those trips to red zone ending in FG's. Yes, they were fortunate to tie the game without having to do anything at 14-12, but they stopped the Steelers on the very next drive and marched down and scored the go ahead TD. Plus, the Steelers scored on one big play and the first drive of the game. Those were the only times they even threatened to score.

Vulnerable on the road huh? 10 straight last year I guess wasn't very good. One loss this year, and on Monday Night where anything can happen.

Sorry, I simply don't agree with you.

i watched that game and i simply dont agree with you. if they dominated so much, why did it take 2 penalties bringing back long tds, an amazing 4th down conversion catch by toomer, and a horrible snap by a backup snapper just to get that win

At least they got the win. In Pittsburgh. Something certain other teams are failing to do, and when they need the win. We didn't even need that one and we got it. Unlike others.

And I watched the game as well. Are you saying those weren't penalties?

Great teams and great players make plays. Should I apologize for this or not expect it from them? Come on man.

Perhaps now we can get back to the topic at hand. I wasn't looking for someone to dispute the play in the Steelers game, simply talk about the game coming up. Thanks for your opinion on the "suspect" Giants pass defense and their potential inability to handle Kurt Warner.

I'm talking about other teams inability to just waltz onto Heinz Field and win a game. Ask Norv Turner how easy it is.

I'm done discussing this with you.

Anyone else with some constructive input regarding the Giants/Cardinals game this Sunday, please post away.

IMHO, the score didn't indicate how much NYG dominated (don't forget Eli throwing a pick inside the 10 before half). agree with the pond man...
